Obama Voter Drive: Dead Dog Receives Voter Registration

When Tim Morris got his mail last week he found a pretty big surprise, a document asking his dog Mozart to register to vote.

Not only is Mozart a dog but he's been dead for two years.

"I opened it up and looked at it and I just laughed," Morris said. "I thought it was a joke at first and it turns out it's real."

The form is addressed to Mo, the family's nickname for the dog.

What amazed Morris is that if Mozart was human he would have been eligible to vote for the first time in 2012.

"He would have been 19 years old this year and he passed away two years ago," he said. "I still have no earthly idea how they got his information."

10 On Your Side looked deeper and found that the voter registration forms were sent by the non-profit Voter Participation Center, not the State Board of Elections.

So we contacted the Voter Participation Center and found that they purchase mailing lists from vendors and while they do try and check every name the organization admits that some do fall through the cracks.

The voter registration efforts are focused on groups like young people, minorities, and unmarried women.

Guess which side the Voter Participation Center is on? Guess which ideology they support? Guess who they are partnered with? From Disrupt the Narrative:

It appeared to come from the Virginia State Board of Elections, but upon further investigation it actually came from the Voter Participation Center, which is a partner organization with the George Soros funded Center for American Progress and both groups have direct ties to the Obama White House. It started out as part of the Tides Foundation. Looking at the biographies on these sites show lots of people with ties to the Obama and Clinton Administrations, and is part of the Democrats’ criminal syndicate. The VPC also focuses on educating policymakers and media on issues impacting what it calls the “rising American electorate”, including a series of reports produced in March 2010, in partnership with the Center for American Progress.

I wonder if this type of canine zombie registration is going on elsewhere? Is Obama trying to register the dogs he has eaten?

Hey Jon Husted, Most People Say Voter ID is Needed....

Hey Mr. Secretary of State, you who changed and flip flopped on voter ID, guess what? Once again, you are on the wrong side of an issue. From Rasmussen

Attorney General Eric Holder signaled last week that the Justice Department will be closely examining new state laws that require showing a photo ID before voting for potential racial bias, but voters nationwide overwhelmingly favor such a requirement and reject the idea that it is discriminatory.

Seventy percent (70%) of Likely U.S. Voters believe voters should be required to show photo identification such as a driver’s license before being allowed to cast their ballot. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 22% oppose this kind of requirement.

Wow, Mr. Tea Party Values, you are on the same side as Eric Holder, the guy in charge of a department that let guns go across the border which have killed hundreds of civilians and at least two federal agents...how does that make you feel?

We need voter ID. Nuff said.

Waiting To Vote, Well Worth It

In these days of political punditry run amok, I exercised my constitutional right to vote. I stood in line for about one and a half hours, time spent contemplating my role as a citizen and enjoying the freedom we sometimes take for granted. Not one drop of my blood has ever been spent defending this country and I highly respect men and women who sacrifice so much to protect us.

One good thing, I had no doubt as to who I was going to cast my vote for. None. There seemed to be an uneasy air about the situation, people who seemed anxious and tense. There was an immense amount of activity around the Butler County Board of Elections. I even ran into our good friend and State Senator Gary Cates who was pressing the flesh and meeting the people. He truly is in touch with the people and he got my vote. There were also some other candidates out there, hoping and dreaming.

It is never easy to run for anything. One wins, one loses, pretty cut and dried. The end of the campaign season is near and this season has been nothing short of one big blur of activity. I wish I could recount all the activity, suffice it to say that I have been a lot of places the past month. In fact, tomorrow morning there are two events I would like to attend and attesting to my girth they are pancake breakfasts! The VFW in Middletown and the Lindenwald Kiwanis at the Fairfield Middle School. Good cause, low money and good fellowship. It's a good opportunity to work with our candidates and for them to meet the people. If you can't tell, I'm pretty big on the grassroots thing.

What will be the final outcome here in Butler County? I think you will find that we will have a fantastic turnout and the people will have their say. Is there any other way? Being a lifetime Republican, I was proud of the slate that we presented to the public and I know that they merit your vote and deepest confidence. If you haven't voted yet, don't forget!
