Saddam Update

From FOX News:
When Saddam Hussein is indicted on criminal charges, it will be by people he committed countless atrocities against during his 30-year dictatorship.

Iraq took legal custody of Saddam from the U.S. Army on Wednesday and made his first court appearance Thursday where he was slapped with seven preliminary charges.

What exactly those charges will be however, is unclear — especially since the so-called "Butcher of Baghdad" not only oversaw the murders of Iraqis, but of Kurds, Iranians, Kuwaitis and others. A formal indictment with specific charges is expected later, said Salem Chalabi, the director of the Iraqi Special Tribunal that will try Saddam. The trial isn't expected until 2005.

Matt's Chat

Quite honestly, I think there is plenty of evidence to convict him of genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and murder to name a few. This guy is in a lot of trouble...and is deserving of whatever justice he ultimately receives.

Mark's Remarks

The thing is, Saddam must get CNN and the networks in his cell. He is still so pompous, in the way he conducted himself in the courtroom today. He said he could not be charged with certain crimes because he was not to be treated like a common criminal, since he was President of Iraq.

And the thing is, Dan Blather and Peter Jennings and Co. were actually sounding admiring of his defiant demeanor, like they were going to orgasm over this pompous ineffectual maggot dictator taking pot shots at Bush....Great, now you are allying and cheerleading the ramblings of a genocidal maniac, American Media!

John Kerry Delinda Est!
