WASHINGTON (AP) President Bush warns there will be an upsurge in violence in Iraq before next month's voting but says the terrorists will fail and "our troops are ready for them."I always get that feeling when the President says things like this... I can already see the lefties saying x dead soldiers since "our troops are ready for them." Just wait, you'll see the counters and and snide comments...
The truth is, we are making slow but significant progress in Iraq. An emerging democracy is being witnessed. Rome was not built in a day, but if you listen to the media and the lefties, they all think we should be done over there by now. Our brave men and women in uniform have a LOT to be proud of...and they will come home with their honor. They deserve the opportunity to finish the job.
They also deserve the assurance that senior military and political leadership still has their eyes on the target.
