MoveOn to Waste More Money in Ohio

From the Cincinnati/Kentucky Post:
A liberal advocacy group is going after Kentucky Congressman Geoff Davis and Ohio Congresswoman Jean Schmidt over their recent remarks about the war in Iraq.

Moveon.org said Tuesday it will begin running television ads critical of the two Congress members next week.

The ads will begin appearing next Monday on cable television in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky and will run through the rest of the week.

Another spot critical of President Bush will begin running nationwide on Thanksgiving Day.
Go ahead, uber-liberals, keep wasting your money here. Your message continues to fall on deaf ears. But don't let that stop you from distorting the truth...
"In that debate, Jean Schmidt dishonored herself and the House of Representatives by implying that Murtha, a decorated war hero, was a coward," Matzzie said.

"She turned a debate about Iraq into a carnival, throwing out insults at leaders who were pushing for a change of course in Iraq," Matzzie said.
She did no such thing. She implied that Murtha's proposal of cut and run was cowardly. She didn't turn the debate in to a circus...Democrats did. Watch the video.

I do think she should have phrased herself differently and I do think that her tactic employed here was a poor choice. Do I think she helps or hurts her chances of being relected because of this? I don't think it will make much difference, but a lot of voters who feel national security issues are the top concern certainly feel she has a point of view that we hadn't heard before. Quite a few will even like it.
