Lt. Gov. Taylor Praises Senate for Prioritizing Regulatory Reform

Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor
Release:
COLUMBUS Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor today issued the following statement regarding S.B. 2, one of the Ohio Senates priority bills, which will put into law Executive Order 2011-01K. The order was signed by Governor John R. Kasich on January 10 and established the Common Sense Initiative (CSI) for regulatory reform in Ohio.

I am pleased that the Ohio Senate agrees with the concerns Governor Kasich and I share about Ohios regulatory environment and have made this issue a top priority, Taylor said. We are confident that comprehensive regulatory reform will help revive Ohios economy and create jobs by generating a more jobs-friendly environment. Ohio's business regulations - at times - are excessive, duplicative and costly, and can put Ohioans out of work. I am confident we can achieve the right balance of regulations that don't hinder our small businesses and protect the health and safety of Ohioans.
