Online Shops Backing Kerry

From Bowling for Howard Dean and Curioser and Curioser:
There is a web site out there that is connecting shoppers to stores that have signed up with them. The site then steers the shopper to the stores in its affiliate list. So far, not too rare on the web.

But this site (named shoptodropbush.com), takes a percentage of the fees paid by the stores and contributes it to organizations who are dedicated to defeating President Bush in the 2004 presidential election. I suggest you look at the site here so that you can know which businesses are lining up against the president. I would also suggest that you send a few emails to the businesses participating in this little ploy to voice your dissatisfaction. One of the organizations that this site contributes to is Moveon.org, which has hosted videos and links to videos equating President Bush with Adolph Hitler. They don't deserve your or my business, but the do deserve to hear how you feel about it.
Check out the list here.

Matt's Chat

This is something of an old story and there doesn't seem to be much of an update on it...but it certainly is disturbing. I don't think these websites are informing their customers what it is they are doing and that certainly sounds like the moral-high-road-taking and positive-campaigning Party of Love and their Disciples of Doom (tm) to me.

Mark's Remarks

This is disgusting...absolutely disgusting.....and to think, the Libs try to say they are not tied to big business or special interests....this proves the opposite. I urge everyone who frequents these businesses to email them and tell them to quit circumventing campaign finance laws and to stick to selling goods, and not to take our hard earned money and use it for political gain. This is shameful, and I urge again, you, our devoted readers, to email bomb and boycott these businesses and their services. Hit them in their pocketbooks. It has worked with CBS, it has worked with Pepsi, and it will work with these jerks.
