Kerry's Seven-Point Plan for the War on Terror

By Matt Hurley for the TIB Network:

Source:
First, Kerry will strengthen our military. His plan will transform the world's most powerful military to better address the modern threats of terrorism and proliferation.
Isn't the what the Pentagon is already doing?
Second, he will deny terrorists the weapons they seek by securing nuclear materials worldwide and implementing port and bio-terrorism security strategies.
Isn't that what the Department of Energy is already doing?
Third, Kerry will cut off terrorist finances.
Isn't this already happening?
Fourth, he will make homeland security a real priority, backed up by real resources.
Money really isn't the problem with Homeland Security. What we have to do is break the bureauocratic culture of a number of government agencies that collectively is Homeland Security. That is a war of wits, not fundraising.
Fifth, Kerry will launch a strategy to win the war of ideas to prevent terrorists from poisoning more minds.
Here you are dealing with, primarily but not solely, Saudi Arabia. And I agree the Saudi's deserve a swift kick in the pants, but just what is John Kerry proposing to win the "war of ideas"? Edwards has been out there advocating giving Iran nuclear fuel if they will promise not to make bombs with it ala the Clinton/North Korea deal. I think we all remember how that one turned out... Usually a war of ideas starts with words that make sense...I'm not holding my breath we'll get any of that from Kerry/Edwards any time soon.
Sixth, he will promote democracy and freedom throughout the Muslim world.
Essentially calling Iraqi Prime Minister Allawi a liar is a great start, John...

Promoting democracy in freedom throughout the Muslim world is George W. Bush's position. We're glad you support us, John...but this is already the position of the United States.
Finally, Kerry will rebuild America's strong alliances, critical not only to our military operations but in everything we do to track down and capture terrorists.
Kind of like getting NATO to deploy additional trainers in Iraq?

John Kerry isn't offering anything new. He has taken President Bush's positions and wrapped them in Howard Dean rhetoric. It is astounding to fathom how his advisors figured out how to do that.

Mark's Remarks

Let's see here:
Point 1-Kerry will strengthen the military....Right...he strengthened it SO MUCH in the 1980s with voting against every major weapons system....yeah, you really have a track record with the military--namely, a bad one.

Point 2-The DOE is already doing this, Johnny boy. In fact, the reason we know so much about who has what is that WE DIDN'T LISTEN TO YOU when you wanted to gut intel. Mr. Kerry, what exactly could you do differently to get this done faster, other than throw money at it?

And could you explain to me how giving Iran nuclear technology is going to make the world safer from nuclear terrorism? I mean, Bill Clinton had such an ingenious idea to give the North Koreans nuke tech. You mentioned North Korea in your speech. How come you didn't explain how Clinton and you and the Left in Congress gave North Korea the means they have to make nuke material? More deception by deletion, eh Johnny?

Point 3-Yes, but how will you do that when you will gripe about not letting Cat Stevens in the country? How will you do that without the ACLU talking about freedom of expression? Mr. Kerry, this is already being done, with fantastic success. I mean, you are taking a plan in existence and just adding a little Carville spin to it. Pathetic....This would earn you expulsion from school for plagiarism.

Point 4-Homeland Security...How will you do that by getting rid of the Patriot Act, as you say you want to do? The Patriot Act has been key in stopping a number of plots. Of course, you don't hear about them because your propaganda wing (the Old Media) doesn't report it. We have highlighted several instances where the Patriot Act has been used effectively. (See our archives)

Mr. Kerry, you don't want increased homeland security. You are just parroting things already being undertaken. Tell me, didn't anyone ever tell you about plagiarism?

And, could you explain to me how supporting such terrible legislation like the DREAM Act and AGJobs is going to promote less porous borders? Dolt.

Point 5-The Saudis have not been our best friends, but they are learning. However, saying you are going to "take them to task" sounds rather lame coming from someone who didn't want to take the Soviet Union to task, who shook the hand of Danny Ortega, etc. Come on, now....You give the French the soft shoe treatment, even though they overtly dealt with Saddam and gave him weapons....

Point 6-Cutting and running from Iraq, calling its leader a liar, and saying we shouldn't have gone to war to free Iraq is not a good start. Iraq is the forward beachhead in the spreading of democracy. I mean, you did fight in Vietnam, right? You do know that cutting and running did not spread democracy in Vietnam, right?

Of course you do...You wanted us to cut and run then, and you want to do so now. I am not fooled by your strong talk, Waffle Boy.

Point 7-This last one is rich. Really it is. If dude is so good at diplomacy, why wasn't he working FOR us in getting the French to come with us at the onset of the war. If going it alone is always bad (not that we are alone), then tell me why a key Democrat said this in 1997:(source)
"We know we can't count on the French. We know we can't count on the Russians....Iraq is a danger to the United States, and we reserve the right to take pre-emptive action whenever we feel it's in our national interest."

What traitorous, Zellout phony Democrat said such warmongering stuff? John F. Kerry!

He has changed his position several times. He has no core. He is catering to security moms at the moment, trying to sound tough and at the same time appeal to their maternal instincts when he talks about Bush wanting to bring forth a draft.

Don't fall for the hype and lie and spin of Carville, Begala, Lockhart and Co. These are the same people who lied about Lewinsky, North Korea, China, etc.-Clintonistas who only care for power grabbing.

John Kerry is just a sad marionette, a puppet who only says what the guru of the moment puts in his mouth. He has no heart, no core.

John Kerry Delenda Est!
