Local Blogging: Fairfield School Board Race

From the Fairfield Echo:

Residents’ choices for Fairfield School Board on Nov. 8 just narrowed by one.

Merle Murnahan annouced he would be withdrawing and threw his support behind three other candidates: Eugene Ball, Mark Morris and Dan Murray.
...
Murnahan’s backing out of the race follows Todd Bitter’s decision to step aside, leaving seven candidates vying for three seats in the Nov. 8 election. Aside from Ball, Morris and Murray, Arnold Engel, Jerome Kearns, Glenda Smith and Erik Rivera remain in the race.
Engel looks promising. Here is a quote from the sparsely attended debate:
“I will always vote no when it comes to bonuses and sweetheart deals for administrators,”
Forget school board, Arnold, get thee to DeeCee pronto!

Engel and Rivera are both members of Citizens for Accountability and Results in Education (CARE).
