I still think that raising the minimum wage is not a smart thing to do, but I like the idea of Congress not getting a pay raise until it is raised. That should be a long time, indeed.This idea is a real winner Senator Reid...stick with it!
Of course, all this does is make members of Congress do more speaking engagements, write more books, take more trips, and visit more lobbyists...all things we should be trying to limit...but, hey, ya gotta do waht ya gotta do, right?
As for the issue of the minimum wage itself, I'm a free market kind of guy. All things being equal (meaning there isn't a cheap labor force of illegals hanging around - funny how these issues seem to relate, isn't it?), the minimum wage "problem" will sort itself out.
