If he pleads guilty, he should step down immediately. Republicans are better than this. This is the sort of thing that I have been going rounds with the Ohio GOP about for years. Had Gov. Taft done the right thing and resigned, maybe Ney wouldn't have thought it was okay to carry on as if he hadn't been on the take as well...

Disgusting. And Ohio Republicans will NOT stand for it.

WASHINGTON (AP) Rep. Bob Ney, R-Ohio, has pleaded guilty to making false statements and conspiracy to commit fraud and violating post-employment restrictions for former congressional aides.
