Ginter Challenges Wilson

This just in from candidate Tim Ginter...

East Liverpool – In an effort to encourage a meaningful and personal discussion of the issues facing the families of the 30th State Senate District, candidate Tim Ginter (R-East Liverpool) today issued a challenge to his opponent, Jason Wilson, to take the campaign “to the doorsteps of the people we are seeking to represent”.

Ginter, an ordained minister and workforce development specialist, has already knocked on more than 10,000 doors throughout the five-county district since he started his bid for the State Senate.

“This experience has convinced me that every General Assembly candidate ought to do the same as I believe it is the only way to truly understand the specific needs of our community, demonstrate our commitment and to look for real solutions to the problems we face in Eastern Ohio,” Ginter wrote in a letter he sent to Jason Wilson today.

He is asking Wilson to join him in dedicating a minimum of two full days each week from now until the election to go door to door together in each of the five counties of the 30th Senate District. This will provide residents the opportunity to talk to both candidates at the same time about the challenges they face and the issues they care about and to hear each candidates’ views and proposed solutions.

“During times like these, I believe that those running for office need to get away from the glad-handing and one-size-fits-all government we’re currently getting from Columbus and Washington, and be willing to look voters in the eye to talk about their concerns,” Ginter said. “I sincerely hope Jason will join me.”
