Fuzzy Money

From the American Spectator:
More than $5 million in debt from the primary season, the Kerry camp is looking for a quick infusion of cash to get back up into the black. One plan is raising eyebrows and merits watching.

According to a DNC fundraiser, the Kerry campaign is looking into the possibility of opening a joint account with the DNC, which would allow donors to write checks in excess of the maximum $2,000 donation for a single political campaign.

"They could write a check for $3,500. Kerry would get $2,000 and we'd get the other $1,500," says the fundraiser.

Imagine the headache of paperwork, financial tracking and reporting, particularly for donors who have already maxed out their donations to the Kerry campaign. "Exactly," says the fundraiser. "Any penalties imposed by the FEC would be minor if we win the White House."

Matt's Chat

And THIS is why campaign finance rules are useless. And this certainly exposes another truth about the Party of Love and the Disciples of Doom (tm): they don't care what laws they break; whom they have to tear down; whom they have to "build" up, so long as they acquire the power that they crave so much like the man stranded in a desert for months thinks that tap water is the most delicious refreshment on the planet.

Why do we even bother having campaign finance laws at all; it stopped being about the people a LONG time ago.....

Mark's Remarks

Listen to their justification for FEC violations- it would be minor if we win the White House. Ethics mean nothing to these people!!!! That statement proves it. They have no moral clarity or clarity of vision. It is all about winning and then engaging in throwing money at social experimentation. Do not let these unprincipled elitist hacks back into the White House. Don't buy their "fighting the special interest" and bringing America back for Americans, or bringing truth to Americans, their political fund dealing reveal them to be scum and perpetrators of misdirection and circumventing of campaign laws. Totally, unadulteratedly shameful.
