Note to Ohio GOP

Wouldn't it be smart to...
...require representatives of governments designated by the State Department as state sponsors of terrorism to disclose to the Attorney General any lobbying contacts with legislative branch officials (including Members, officers, and staff) in “detailed” statements filed within 45 days of such contacts. The Secretary of State would be prohibited from recognizing the credentials of a diplomatic or consular officer who does not agree to comply with this legislation. The Attorney General would have to make the information reported in accordance with this legislation available to the general public in an electronic format within 90 days of each such reported contact.
???

I think so...

So imagine my surprise when H.R. 5228, which needed two-thirds to pass, failed.

Now imagine my surprise to find a number of Ohio Republicans amongst the 20 GOPers to vote "no."

Gillmor (OH-05), Hobson (OH-07), LaTourette (OH-14), and Tiberi (OH-12) all joined the Democrats in voting "no." Hell, even Sherrod Brown and Ted Strickland got this one right.
