ORP FAILS TO ENDORSE JOHN BECKER
The Enquirer is reporting that the Ohio Republican Party has failed to endorse John Becker and two other area Republican state representatives because they DARE to hold the line on spending.
John Becker has done more for the Ohio Republican party than anybody I know. He has fought the good fight with friends in the Tea Party and other conservative groups that the ORP was an organization worth investing time and energy. His dedication to that cause is one of the reasons why WMD has restrained itself from completely and utterly abandoning any and all hope that the ORP could be reformed. All of that is nothing.
THIS is how the Ohio Republican Party rewards people who have differing views. Where's the 80% with us bullshit line now?
I had always suspected that Bill Batchelder was a tool. That he has allowed this nonsense confirms what I have always suspected. This guy is a loser and I'm grateful that he can do us no more damage thanks to term limits.
These idiots have even recommended endorsing Peter Beck. That dude is going to prison.
SERIOUSLY.
I can't stand this much Stupid.

WMD on Beck
WMD released the following statement regarding State Representative Beck:
What a (&*^%#%^( tool. Get OUT of our party. Do NOT pass GO. Do NOT collect $200.
WMD is not at all surprised to see the return of the Culture of Corruption. When Bob Bennett was re-installed as Chairman, it was a sign of things to come. That the State Central Committee followed up that with Matt Borges made it official.
Clean house you fools.

ORP on Beck
Release:
COLUMBUS - Ohio Republican Party Chairman Matt Borges released the following statement today concerning Representative Beck.
"Speaker Batchelder is correct to ask Representative Beck to step down. I join the Speaker in asking Representative Beck to resign. These are serious allegations that Representative Beck is facing that if proven true cannot be tolerated. While everyone is presumed innocent and deserves a fair trial, it's important that Representative Beck take appropriate action that will allow him to focus on the serious accusations he faces and prevent him from being a distraction for his colleagues and Party."

Batchelder on Beck
Release:
COLUMBUS—Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) today released the following statement regarding the allegations facing Representative Peter Beck:
“Representative Peter Beck has served the Ohio House of Representatives and the people of the 54th District honorably and has done great work as chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. However, given the serious nature of the charges facing Representative Beck, it is my belief that it is in the best interest of the Ohio House, the people of his district, and his family for him to resign from the Ohio House at this time.
“It is of the utmost importance that members of this sacred institution protect the public’s trust and be a voice for their district. While there is always a presumption of innocence until proven otherwise, it is my belief that these very serious allegations could cause a distraction to the good work of the Ohio House of Representatives. Therefore, I believe this action would be in the best interest of not only the residents of the 54th House District and the members of the Ohio House of Representatives, but also Representative Beck and his family.
“There are several important initiatives currently being considered by the Ways and Means Committee that will continue uninterrupted. These are proposals that will have a long-standing impact on the state of Ohio, and Ohioans can rest assured that we will continue the diligent work on these issues.”

Ohio House Passes Bill Revising State Tax Credits
Release: <blockquote>
COLUMBUS—State
Representatives Anne Gonzales (R-Westerville) and Peter Beck (R-Mason)
today announced that the Ohio House has passed legislation that makes a
series of revisions to various tax credits in the state.
“The
most basic need of state government is to provide a healthy environment
for businesses to be born and thrive, bringing jobs to our people,”
said Representative Gonzales, who cosponsored the legislation with
Representative Beck. “Today we successfully renewed and expanded a
program encouraging investment and job creating ventures.”
Among other changes, House Bill 511:
· Eliminates
the Industrial Technology and Enterprise Advisory Council, which was
created to approve tax credits for investments in development and
technology, and transfers the duties of the council to the Third
Frontier Commission
· Increases the maximum amount of investment tax credits that can be issued from $45 million to $51 million
· Increases
the annual limit on venture capital loan loss tax credits available to
people who lose money after lending to the state’s venture capital loan
program
· Increases the amount of principal and interest payments that may be paid to lenders each year
· Relaxes
limits on how much the program’s investments may be concentrated in two
or more venture capital funds that are under common management
· Adds requirements to the selection criteria in order for investment funds
· Specifies
that the investment fund administering the program, as well as any fund
managers employed by the administrator, must have a “significant
presence” in Ohio in order to administer the program
HB
511, one of 10 bills included in the Mid-Biennium Review, passed the
House 91-5. It will now be sent to the Ohio Senate for further
consideration.
