The Boehner Circus

The List (via Cincinnati Enquirer) is long and getting longer...

  • Sheriff Richard "Spotlight" Jones - Get serious...
  • Bill Coley - The former state representative topped insiders' lists for who might run...He didn't respond Friday to requests for comment."
  • Tim Derickson - Term limited in Ohio House - "I in no way could have anticipated this possibility, but now that it is an open seat, I'm seriously considering a run for that seat."
  • Ross MacGregor - "Some people label me 'liberal.' I prefer 'moderate."
  • Kieth Faber - Lives outside the district - "A spokesman for Faber declined to comment."
  • J.D. Winteregg - "I'm not afraid to confront people on different issues, and that's what the Republican Party needs."
  • Wes Retherford - "I really haven't had a chance to collect my thoughts."
  • Seth Morgan - "I don't know if I'm ready to say one way or the other."
  • Chris Widener
  • Bill Beagle - Just announced he's in today.
  • Roger Reynolds - "At this point, that's not something I'm prepared to talk about." - 9/30 UPDATE: He's in.  Everybody else should drop out.  This is the guy!
  • Joe Deters - Lives outside the district - "No chance"
  • Not in the Enquirer article, but heard elsewhere: Steve Austria
Even though it is not a requirement for Congressman to live in the districts they represent,. I --and many people who still live in the district-- prefer that they do.  That will eliminate a few from the list.

Keep an eye on Coley.  Once he makes his decision, that will determine who stays and who goes.

I fully expect the Ohio Republican Party to try and push Faber on to the scene.  Expect the people in the district to tell the party to get bent.  Pound sand.  Go away.  But they'll try it anyway.

Derickson should get in because after having developed so far as a legislator, it would be a shame to waste the talent.

Spotlight and Winteregg will provide all of the comedy...

I picked a fabulous time to return to blogging......

Don Quixote and Windmills

I made a couple of brief comments on Facebook about this this morning and quite a few folks wanted to know a bit more about what I think on the subject, so I decided it was a worthy enough topic to bring me over here to jot down a few more words.

John Kasich has been a huge, massive, gigantic, enormous, colossal, substantial, hefty, voluminous, enormous, whale of a disappointment to me. He went around the state preaching from the gospel of conservatism, but like every other Ohio Republican on the Big stage, he governs like a liberal. This dude still thinks we can find prosperity by spending money we don't have and his ideas for getting more money involve tax schemes that ultimately shut out everybody but Big Oil.

The last straw for me is his smug defense of his Medicaid Expansion. That this tool thinks it is okay to invoke religion to justify his backdoor support of Obamacare is sickening. It makes me want to vomit. How can you tell when John Kasich is lying about Medicaid Expansion? His lips move.

However, none of that is enough for me to support no-name challengers who have zero chance at winning in a primary. NOBODY outside of a small section of Cincinnati and a handful of Tea Party people even know who this guy is and while the Ohio Liberty Coalition of the Alliance of the Forces for Good (or whatever they are calling themselves this week) has managed to pony up some decent support for a few state legislature candidates, there is no history that they are in the same league as the fat cats supporting Governor Kasbama.

Furthermore, I'd almost be willing to bet dollars to donuts that this guy says or does something that damages the reputation of the Tea Party movement in this state. Just call it a gut feeling. I've got nothing else to go on, but a sense that when Not Ready For Primetime candidates get on the stage, they have the tendency to make things worse for the people who brought them there.

And let's face some hard facts, a loss in a GOP primary by a former Generalissimo of the Tea Party would deliver a message loud and clear regarding just how little influence these groups actually have on the system and the process. Don't get me wrong, I think the movement is still growing stronger everyday. But it is just large enough now that it can lose a LOT by overplaying their hand.

I guess I am just not convinced that this is the right step at this time. I much rather see the Tea Party stay focused on issues rather than get dragged through the mud of electing candidates. Education is what the Tea Party ought to still be about. I have always felt that the Tea Party is at its best when it is teaching others about the principles of liberty.

Your mileage may vary...

Brown County Board of Elections: Did Democrats Dallas Hurt and Kathy Jones Subvert Crossover Voters?

That is one of the questions being investigated by the Secretary of State's office right now. From an article appearing in the print edition of this weekend's Brown County Press (soon to be in the online edition):
The Ohio Secretary of State’s office is looking into allegations that election procedure was violated in Brown County during the March 6 Primary Election.
At issue is the “Statement of Person Challenged as to Party Affiliation” affidavit that local voters were asked to sign when requesting a ballot from a party that they are not registered in.
Ohio is a “closed primary” state, meaning that voters must declare which primary ballot they wish to use.
On December 20, 2011, the Ohio Secretary of State issued a directive to all county boards of election that primary voters can only be challenged when requesting an “out of party” ballot when the election official has personal knowledge that the voter is a member of a different party.
The idea was to make the process of switching between parties less time consuming and intimidating.

So, what happened? At a training of poll workers previously Dallas Hurt(democrat board member) and Kathy Jones (democrat director of the office)had instructed poll workers to make anyone who wanted to switch parties fill out this form...So, in essence, Mr. Hurt and Ms. Jones were challenging EVERY crossover voter. This is a gross misuse of the form as specified by the directives and in the handbook. This was pointed out by a confused poll worker to Mariah Votel (a republican board member), who then read the handbook and said not to take the affadavits....but let the Press continue:

Incidents of party switching were common during the March 6 primary because of two statehouse races involving Republicans Paul Hall and Brown County Auditor Doug Green.
Some Republicans also switched parties to vote for Democrat candidates in contested races.
Hall said that none of the four other counties in State Senate District 14 (Clermont, Adams, Scioto and Lawrence) required voters to sign affidavits to switch parties and that Brown County shouldn’t have either.
“Do I believe that Secretary of State policy was violated? Absolutely. Do I believe that voters were disenfranchised?  Absolutely”, said Hall.

Paul Hall only lost by a small number of votes. Votes that democrats crossing over could have given him. He didn't contest the election because he didn't want to seem a sore loser to his opponent, Joe Uecker. However, when Dallas Hurt besmirched the name of Bill Herdmann, another Republican board member, and when informed by the Press that they were looking into the matter, Hall commented. Back to the story:

A representative of the Secretary of State’s Office said May 30 that the office was “gathering facts in the matter” and offered no further comment.
Brown County Democrat Party Chairman Dallas Hurt said that his concern was that voters be made aware that changing their party affiliation was a two year commitment, and that was one reason he advocated using the affidavits.
“These people who switch parties cannot vote in other party elections, sign petitions or otherwise participate in the party process until and unless they switch back in the primary election of 2014”, Hurt said.
“I think it’s important that voters be aware of that fact.”

Or, was Mr. Hurt, who is also the chairman of the fledgling Democrat party in Brown County, trying to compile an enemies list to harass over their crossing over? Was he trying to cost Paul Hall, former election board member, his election? Or, did Mr. Hurt simply make the typical liberal assumption that people don't know what they are doing? Whichever, it stinks to high heaven.

Republican Board of Election member Mariah Votel said that she encountered poll workers who were confused about directions given by the board of election regarding the affidavits.
“I was asked about the affidavits at the first precinct I visited. I told (the poll worker) that they were not to ask for the affidavits and they responded that they were told to do so by (Board of Elections Director) Kathy Jones.”
Votel said she personally witnessed a voter request an out-of-party ballot and then change their minds when told about the affidavit requirement.
“That’s when I called Kathy Jones and said we need to call the Secretary of State’s office.”

So, Ms. Votel witnessed a voter who wanted to switch parties talked out of it,coerced, if you will, by a poll worker under the directives of Jones, who frequently gets her orders from Hurt, who helped get her the current position. Jones was brought in from Clermont County by Hurt.

Votel said she and Jones called the Secretary of State’s office about 10:30 a.m. and that they were told that the affidavits were not required and were not to be asked for.
Around noon, another call went out to poll workers, telling them to fill out the affidavits when a voter requested an out-of-party ballot, but not to have the voter sign it.
That directive came from Jones at the direction of Hurt.
“During the course of that election, we saw people come in and switch from one party to the other , knowingly and willingly, because they wanted to vote for a particular candidate on the other side”, Hurt said.
“As long as they were told that particular party switch was going to last for two years, I didn’t have a problem with that whatsoever. I did have a problem with them being given a ballot and left with the assumption that they had not changed parties. That was the purpose and use of that form.”

People didn't change their minds about crossing over because of this. They changed their minds, according to my sources, because they didn't want to sign a paper and felt it was intimidation. One candidate's relative who wanted to switch over was so harassed and instead said "give me the democrat ballot." So, Mr. Hurt is playing word games to cover his butt. But, it gets better:

Regarding the call to the Secretary of State’s office, Hurt said he was aware of another call made to the same office where a different answer was returned.
“Mariah got one answer from one person that she contacted and (Deputy Director Kathy Long) got another answer that you could not require (voters) to sign it, but it was an appropriate affidavit to be used by the poll workers. So, two different employees of the Secretary of State’s office were contacted by two different parties and a different shade of answer came back from those two different chains. I did not make a direct call to the Secretary of State’s office because I was relying on what is written in the printed handbook.”

So, Mr. Hurt is trying to say this handbook says basically anyone who switches should be challenged, even though others have said this is not what the form was designed for according to the same handbook. It is curious that according to Ms. Votel, Kathy Jones and Kathy Long were there when she called the SecState's office. Ms. Votel even has the name of the person she talked to. Mr. Hurt seems a little fuzzy on his details. Maybe he realizes he screwed up or got caught? Mr. Hurt is known around Brown County as a bully and someone who tries to lord over people or walk and cross ethical lines. He went against ethics and protocol by leaking to another newspaper details of matters discussed in executive session of the board, which is supposed to be confidential. So, his word should be taken with a big grain of salt:

Hall’s opinion of the matter is direct.
“My attorneys and I are adamant that these actions were a violation of Secretary of State policy and that voters were unnecessarily burdened and disenfranchised.”

Hurt disagrees that voters were denied the right to cast the ballot of their choice.
“I don’t believe it for a minute. We had cases where someone did go ahead and change parties to vote for a candidate of their choice and we had voters who said that they would not change and they would vote for the candidates on their original party ticket if they had to change and make it a matter of record for two years. This is a closed primary state and we have only upheld the procedures outlined by the Secretary of State in the handbook and that we have not abused the challenge requirements in any way whatsoever.”
So, basically, Hurt is trying to say it is ok to basically challenge every voter who wants to switch and make them sign an affadavit. The other question remains: why have staff fill out the form and not make the voter sign it? What recordkeeping is Hurt doing? An enemies list? A harassment list? Very fishy. He plays fast and loose with ethics and is a bully and may have finally gotten caught. Sources told me that poll workers initially told voters who refused to sign the affadavit the only way they could cross over was if they voted provisionally.

Dallas Hurt's excuse of "well, some people crossed over anyway and some didn't" is smokescreen. Voters were coerced to change their minds in the ballot area. This is a clear violation of voting rights. Hurt and Jones should be called to task for this.

According to Ohio law, should the Secretary of State find that procedure has been violated, he can suspend or dismiss any Board of Election member or staff member.
In other Board of Election business, on May 30 the board discussed advertising for applications for a clerk position made vacant by the resignation of Jill Schaffer.
No official action was taken. The next meeting for the board is scheduled for June 7.

Primary Night Recap

Obama Loses Votes in West Virginia...to a TEXAS inmate!

From the Daily Mail in the UK because the MSM doesn't want you to know....
Prisoner Keith Judd got 40% of vote in West Virginia to Obama's 60%
Inmate 11593-051 got on ballot by paying $2,500 fee and filing forms
Attracting 15% of vote normally qualifies candidate for a delegate to the Democratic National Convention
Just how unpopular is President Obama in some parts of the country? Enough that a man in a Texas prison received four out of 10 votes in West Virginia's Democratic presidential primary.

Inmate Keith Judd, 53, is serving 17 years for extortion at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution. He was sentenced in 1999 for making threats against the University of New Mexico and is due to be released on June 24 next year.

With 93 per cent of precincts reporting, Obama was receiving just under 60 per cent of the vote to Judd's 40 per cent.

Obama's Favorite RINO Senator Gets Das Boot

We move to Indiana where Richard Mourdock beat Dick Lugar by 20 points. The latest polling data had Lugar losing by 10. This was a landslide of historic proportions. It was a Tea Party victory from top to bottom. Dick Lugar hasn't lived in Indiana for years. He's the senator from Indiana, and when he goes back there he has to stay in friends' homes or hotels. He does not have a home in the state that he represents. It's usually Democrats that do that. Also, Dick Lugar sent mailers to REPUBLICAN voters saying Mourdock was going to close the federal dept of Education, as if that were something bad. The guy became a liberal.

Scott Walker Fights Off Union Thuggery and Cashola, Earns More Votes than Dems Combined!

From Breitbart.com:
Scott Walker, facing no real competition, won over 600,000 votes in yesterday's primary. His vote total was just about equal to ALL the votes cast in the competitive Democrat primary. This shouldn't have happened. It suggests that, going into next month's recall vote, Walker has a solid base of support while Democrats face a serious enthusiasm gap. Looks like Big Labor wasted another few million of its members' money.

For those keeping score at home, let's recap: Big Labor spent millions to support their preferred candidate, Kathleen Falk, only to see her lose by 18 points. The winner of the Democrat primary, Tom Barrett, refused to participate in a 'unity rally' because he worried about being too associated with Big Labor. And, Big Labor's chief nemesis, Scott Walker, attracted at least as much support as all the Democrat candidates combined. Even though he wasn't in a competitive race.

Host State of Dem Convention Smacks Down Plank in Radical Liberal Agenda

The good people of North Carolina joined 31 other states in affirming that Marriage is between a man and a woman, a position that Candidate Obama had in 2008. However, since this man is so desperate and cannot run on his own economic record, he unleashes a hateful statement denouncing the state's citizens who voted for the traditional definition of marriage. His statement incorrectly (or libelously?) says that the amendment outlaws civil unions. He sent out Biden to put up trial balloons about marriage and all he got was his pathetic brooks brothers wearing spokesman to get laughed at as he said Obama's position was "evolving". What a joke. Now, this morning, feeling he can get some momentum with the far left, he says that "personally" he believes that gays should be allowed to marry. this man will say and do anything for power. Disturbing.

Enquirer Covers Clermont County GOP Fracturing

Archie Wilson v. Scott Croswell. That was so two years ago. Let's freakin' move on. We have Obama to beat! Geez. Here is the story from the Enquirer:
Clermont County Prosecutor Don White held several advantages heading into last month’s primary election, including name recognition, a string of six election victories, and 23 years of experience in the post.

What the Republican didn’t have this time around was the endorsement of the 200-member Clermont County GOP central committee. That went to his challenger, first-time candidate Vince Faris, who claimed victory in the primary with 53 percent of the vote.

White’s defeat puts a spotlight on what some observers say is a fractured Clermont GOP still suffering a hangover from a nasty 2010 race for county commissioner. It also raises questions about the power of the central committee’s endorsements and the influence elected officials have over the committee – important considerations in what’s essentially a one-party county dominated by Republicans.

“We’re continuing to see the aftereffects of what appears to me to be personal vendettas against the people who didn’t go along with what the party and (GOP chairman Tim) Rudd wanted the party to do,” said Tom Hanrahan, a 64-year-old registered Republican from Union Township.

Hanrahan’s view – shared by a number of other political observers – is that officeholders who supported R. Scott Croswell III over Archie Wilson in the 2010 county commission race have been targeted for removal by party leadership. White was a Croswell supporter.

“Politics is messy enough,” said Hanrahan, a retired finance vice president for a non-profit. “Getting personal vendettas involved in it…it’s no wonder voter turnout is so low.”

Rudd, who in addition to being GOP chairman is also clerk of the county’s municipal court, an elected position, denies any personal vendettas. And he downplays talk of a major Republican rift in Clermont, where no Democrat has been elected to a non-judicial countywide office since the 1980s.

“In any organization, there’s always going to be a diversity of opinion. We’re not monolithic,” Rudd said.

That became especially apparent in 2009 as the county came to grips with the recession. Commissioners told office holders to expect budget cuts. Some balked. At an October meeting, Rudd and Auditor Linda Fraley presented alternatives that involved reallocating money designated for economic development, but they were rejected by commissioners Croswell, Ed Humphrey and Bob Proud.

Two months later, Wilson announced that he would challenge the outspoken Croswell in 2010. Croswell at the time claimed that because he’d voted to cut the budgets of elected officials, Fraley and Rudd got Wilson to run against him; Fraley and Rudd said it was Wilson’s idea to run.

If anyone appeared in good position to fend off a challenger, it was Croswell, who had solid footing in the community. The prominent defense lawyer had been elected to the seat twice. His father had been a county commissioner. His last name adorned vehicles in the family-owned bus company.

But in Clermont County, whatever advantages an incumbent might have are almost always trumped by the GOP central committee endorsement. Every election, those endorsements are printed on sample ballots that party volunteers hand out at polling places.

Sorry, Mr. Rudd. You can talk about diversity all you want. You are a virtual dictator over there, sir. I know it....fellow party members know it...you know it.

Then, in the story, we go from the strange to the absurd...I give you...Archie Wilson:
Meanwhile, in September 2010, reports began to surface about comments Wilson allegedly made at a Union Township GOP meeting about the August 2007 death of 2-year-old Cecilia Slaby. Police had concluded she died after her mother accidentally left her in a hot car.

Wilson’s alleged comments are detailed in a lawsuit, still pending, that the girl’s parents filed against him. It claims he told people that the child was killed by her parents and left in the hot car to cover up sexual abuse by her father. Also, according to the suit, Wilson said that Croswell, who represented the girl’s mother during the investigation, and Prosecutor White conspired to cover up the girl’s murder.

White’s support of Croswell grew even more vocal after Wilson’s alleged comments became public. “I was not going to sell my soul for the Republican Party when I felt that their candidate was not good for the county,” White said.

Wilson denied making the Slaby statements. In the November 2010 election, he handily defeated Croswell.

Wilson was in office only a year. He resigned in February, shortly before being charged with misdemeanor counts of soliciting prostitution and trafficking a controlled substance in Kenton County. The charges stemmed from a sting set up by Kentucky State Police in which hidden cameras allegedly recorded Wilson trading drugs for sex from a woman he met at an adult dance club.

Croswell, in a column he wrote recently for a community newspaper, charged that Rudd, in a central committee meeting, “demanded retribution against anyone who had failed to support Wilson in the election…”

Look, I don't know if Croswell is lying. I don't know if Tim Rudd is lying. However, given what I know about both and the state of Clermont County Politics, both of these guys have bloody hands.

The two factions need to grow up and get over it....or one day the Dems just might take over in Clermont. Continued idiocy like Wilson v. Croswell and the Slate Card Shenanigans may turn enough people off of a party organization that is full of its own bluster and hot air.

However, when you have a County Democrat Chair who says this:
Dave Lane, chairman of the Clermont County Democratic Party, said he believes it’s “unhealthy” when fewer than 200 people make an endorsement that, in essence, decides who will be elected. Last November’s GOP endorsement meeting was attended by 179 central committee members, which means a candidate needed 107 votes to receive the necessary 60 percent backing to be endorsed.

“I blame the system,” said Lane. “But I also blame the voters, the citizens. For anyone to just vote blindly simply because (candidates) are endorsed by a party…You get what you vote for.”

then maybe there is not a reckoning any time soon for the gop in Clermont. Ugh...seriously, people. Grow up!

Slate Card Shenangians: Nick Owens, Stand Up Guy, Responds

In a previous post at WMD, I discussed how one of the things that cost Jean Schmidt the election was the printing of slate cards that ticked off the Clermont County Central Committee and brought a fractured committee together with the purpose of defeating Jean and those who were thought to be in collusion with her, like Don White. I intimated that Nick Owens, since his name was on the ballot, was in simpatico with Team Schmidt. This is not the case. Nick Owens, a young man whom I am respecting more and more based on his integrity and frankness, replied to me and gave his side of the story:
I was just reading your post on Weapons about the March 6th elections. First of all I want to make it clear I was not involved in any way regarding the sample ballot fiasco and my name being put on it. I have heard like you have from countless people that Paul Hall was asked to be on the slate card. I was not asked and nor did I ask to be put on it. People don’t have to believe me. But again I state, I was not asked nor did I ask to be placed on the card. (As I was also not asked if I wanted to be in Jean’s last commercial. For the record, my answer would have been no because the footage was old and although I think highly of the Congresswoman – I was running my own race.)

Admittedly, I had heard rumblings of such a slate card from both my former colleagues and friends of Jean’s office and from within the Clermont County Republican Party. Frankly, the first time I heard of a possible alternative slate card was from Chairman Tim Rudd during a Central Committee meeting in January. At that meeting he mentioned that a group might be putting one together and that they were beefing up the design of the current slate card to more adequately reflect the source of the slate card and to differentiate it from any potential knock offs.

It’s unfortunate if anyone because of this is associating me with any type of dirty campaigning. I spoke with Rick Herron about this Friday night at the Clermont Lincoln Day as he mentioned it to me. I hope to have a successful career in politics and I certainly don’t want to be known from the beginning as a dirty campaigner. I have heard from many people who think the slate card hurt me. I don’t know if it did or didn’t. Regardless, slate card or no slate card the results reflect I wasn’t going to beat Doug Green with two people fracturing the Clermont County vote. Frankly, I take solace in finishing second and beating the Clermont Tea Party candidate. The same candidate who was considered well qualified by the Clermont Republican Party.

I believe other candidates many unopposed ones were used unknowingly on the slate card to try and give it more of a authentic look. (For example, all the unopposed races were listed, which included some candidates that supported Vince Faris etc.) Also, Vince Faris was my t-ball coach at Batavia. I have known him for more than 23 years – the most of anyone in politics. On the day of the election, my supporters only handed out my literature or emery boards.

I believe Nick Owens. He did not have to share his intel with me or write back in any way. However, he took the time and did the stand up thing. Nick, indeed, is young in age, but I think he has a good future if we don't throw him out with the bathwater in this mess. The slate card shenanigans was a bad idea by White and Team Schmidt, and I hope that Nick is not a victim of this internecine warfare among factions in Clermont County. Nick is a good young man with strong conservative values. I thank him for taking the time to reply.

Mark's Take on Primary 2012 OH

Fear, loathing, and adherence to "conventional wisdom" ruled the day in Ohio, especially in SW Ohio. Also, I learned that the disgusting, fear/hate mongering, misrepresenting of records in radio ads used by the slimeball Mark Weaver are more powerful than truth, because people in a certain congressional district evidently are too stupid and lazy to use google. I also learned that good races can be run, as in my home county of Brown the Republican primary was fought honorably with all four candidates running a respectable race, unlike the dirty lame, easily disproven rhetoric in the 2nd congressional race.

The Good

Brown County Clerk of Courts Race was fought honorably, and appears to have been won by Clark Gray on the Republican side. No mudslinging, no craziness, just good old fashioned campaigning.

The Ohio 66th district would have been represented well with either Nick Owens or Doug Green, but Congrats go to my friend and soon to be former county Auditor, Doug Green, for his victory. The good news is that Nick Owens is a young guy, earned a lot of political street cred, and is not going anywhere. Nick is a great guy, and many who voted for Doug told me that Nick was their 2nd choice. The other jokers just took votes from the fringes.

Friend of WMD and TIB John Becker handily defeated his primary opponent in the 65th Ohio house district. Congrats to a great guy and better friend!

The race for state senate 14th district remains up for grabs. While either candidate is acceptable, my hope is that Paul Hall wins. I have known him longer and respect him a great deal.

The Bad

Mitt Romney wins in a narrow fashion of Rick Santorum. Ohio republicans seem to be afraid of everything. Too conservative? Not conservative enough? So we frequently get squishes...(See Voinovich, George; Taft, Bob; Portman, Rob) So, Ohio let the lamestream media, which castigates Rush Limbaugh for calling a person who lied about her age to college officials, lied about her agenda and does want others to pay for her sexual exploits a whore, while saying nothing about Bill Maher calling Sarah Palin a c*nt or Michelle Bachmann the same or worse. You ask me where the war on women is, it is in the democratic party, where you are asked to be either a multi divorcee, a never married strumpet, or some type of weird hybrid in order to be considered a real woman. Ohioans did not cowboy up. Shameful.

The Ugly

Ohio GOP sell out Jean Schmidt to save Steve Chabot's a$$. Hamilton County killed Jean Schmidt. Clermont didn't help much. But it was the redistricting done by the state to save supposed conservative (just don't film my supposedly public meetings) Chabot that helped do in one of the most conservative members of Congress.
Here is what I learned from this ugliness that makes this seat up for grabs for the first time since Rob Portman left it a few years back:

1. Dirtbag Mark Weaver's negative, slimy, slanderous radio ads work. Even though they were largely untrue and factually inaccurate, they turned enough heads in Clermont and other counties so that she couldn't stand the swelling from Wenstrup's home area of Hamilton County.

2. Alex T. is a douche. What about needing to get behind our incumbents. My sources tell me Alex T. was a wenstrup guy all along. Douche.

3. Ohio 2nd district voters are too lazy to use the computer or consult real sources. Rather than going to lame sites like USAbrad.douchebag, they could google things and see the real news...or come to WMD. No, instead, you believe whatever you hear on 700wlw. Pathetic.

My projections on The Implications if Wenstrup wins:
1. Brown, and the other eastern counties will never see Brad Wenstrup. Jean Schmidt bent over backwards to attend every large and small event in our counties or send someone from her office. Don't look for that from Brad. Until election time.

2. Voters in Brown and the other eastern Counties should have to be IQ tested before voting. Seriously, you voted for a foot doctor who likes to give money to baby killers over someone who is one of the top conservatives according to numerous sources?

3. The 2nd district will become a joke. Goodbye to any thoughts of getting the right thing done for the people of Piketon. This was a crusade for Jean Schmidt. That kiss that the slimeball slanderer Mark Weaver used in the radio ads? Each one of those damned kisses had the whisper of "remember and honor your promise about Piketon, Mr. President."

Last word to you Dr. Wenstrup. You better damn well be the 2nd coming of Captain America, my friend. Whether this blog continues after this election cycle or not, Matt and I have a saying....Tall grass.....tall grass.....we will be watching. You better never vote for a damn bill put forth by a democrat or Obama, or so help me I will nail your lying in public and giving money to baby killers arse to the wall with the language of your slimy campaign commercials. Welcome to the jungle....let's see if you can stand the heat. Oh, and I will not be campaigning for you in the fall....I won't campaign against you, but I am not campaigning for you. You have to earn that.

Speaker Batchelder, Chairman Huffman Release Statement Following Ohio Primary

Release:
COLUMBUS—Following Tuesday’s primary election in Ohio, Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) released the following statement:

“Ohio House Republicans have a strong record of defending our incumbent members, and we are pleased that all six of our members who faced challengers in the primary were successful, in many cases by wide margins. This shows that our work during this General Assembly and the course we have set for Ohio is one that Ohioans recognize as beneficial for the future of our state. We will continue to work to make Ohio a better place to live, work, raise a family and start a business, and we will accomplish this with the help of these dedicated and hard-working individuals.”

Additionally, Chairman of the Ohio House Republican Organizational Committee Matt Huffman (R-Lima) released the following statement:

“Speaker Batchelder and I are extremely pleased with the strong slate of candidates that we have going into the 2012 elections, and we look forward to working with them to ensure that we retain the majority in the Ohio House of Representatives. These men and women have the leadership to keep Ohio’s momentum moving in the right direction toward a more business-friendly, economically competitive environment where jobs can flourish. Now more than ever, Ohioans need and deserve capable leaders who will make the difficult decisions that must be made, and our candidates are those leaders who have a dynamic vision for Ohio’s future and how to get there.”

Tea Partiers Endorse Client of Anti-Tea Party Mark Weaver

OK, the Tea Party in Ohio is officially dead. There, I said it. It has been killed by vendettas between individuals and leadership that thinks, like the evangelicals in the 2000s, that they are the only voice that matters. In a release, the Ohio Liberty Council chose to endorse Dr. Brad "I will say no money to abortions organizations on surveys but will give tons of money to Planned Parenthood on the Cincinnati Board of Health" Wenstrup. Tom Z, a guy I used to respect, sings the praises of someone who:
1. lied to pro life groups about being against giving taxpayer dollars to any abortion agency under ANY circumstances
2. used a George Soros attack group that has called Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, and tea partiers corrupt to besmirch Jean Schmidt
3. Has lied at a county endorsement meeting about conversations about the abortion issue with a member of the central committee of said county
4. Has used a friendly gesture by Schmidt toward Obama to make it seem like she supports Obama, when every time she meets the President that kiss is followed by "honor your promise to Piketon, Mr. President"
5. Was such a poor steward of Public Money that Cincinnati lost a health grant they had had for the previous 30 years because of his poor management and the rest of teh board of health

Somehow, to Tom Z, who evidently walks on water and has never ever sinned, this is a conservative candidate. Here is Tom Z and the OLC's idiotic endorsement:
The Ohio Liberty Council today announced that it is endorsing Dr. Brad Wenstrup for Congress in the 2nd District Republican Primary on March 6th. The endorsement is based on the recommendation of three OLC member groups in the 2nd Congressional District including Liberty Alliance Cincinnati, Clermont County TEA Psarty, and Anderson TEA Party organizations.

In making the endorsement, Tom Zawistowski, President of the OLC, said “An important part of the TEA Party movement is taking the time and making the effort to personally meet candidates and evaluate them in order to determine who will best represent our communities. I congratulate our TEA Party member organization who have done just that and have decided that Dr. Wenstrup is the best candidate in the field. Dr. Wenstrup's commitment to our nation through his military service, and commitment to his community through his involvement with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and other local charities, are unquestioned. It is the opinion of the Ohio Liberty Council that the citizens of the 2nd Congressional District would be well served if they voted to send Dr. Wenstrup to Washington to represent our conservative, constitutionally based values. We urge all Republicans to vote for Dr. Wenstrup either by absentee ballot or in person on March 6th.”

In accepting the endorsement of the OLC, Dr. Wenstrup said "I'm proud to earn the support of Ohio Liberty Council. As a small business owner and doctor, I believe it's time for a new representative to go to Washington. Someone who will stand for conservative values. Someone who will fight for economic freedom. And someone who will demand real solutions, real growth and real jobs. I look forward to being a voice for conservatives across Southwestern Ohio."

Even if they are not pro life, I know of few conservatives who think giving TAXPAYER MONEY to planned parenthood is a good idea. Then you compound it with lies about there being NO OTHER provider of testing services. Compound that with his poor stewardship as well as his mudslinging ads, and I don't see a conservative. Tom Z and his little OLC have truly jumped the shark, and it is self important asshats like these who have taken the tea party movement in Ohio and made it a frigging joke. Now, let's throw this in..remember how the OLC and other tea partiers were gung ho about taking over Ohio's GOP State Central Committee? Guess who was hired and willingly slung mud on behalf of Kevin DeWine against the tea party? Mark Weaver, that's who. And guess who is getting paid by Weaver to engage in lies and distortion against Jean Schmidt? Mark Weaver! From campaign expenditure reports from Team Wenstrup:

Communications Counsel, Inc.
37 West Broad Street, Suite 325
Columbus, Ohio 43215
10/03/2011 Invoice Wenstrup 22-1 $1800.00

Communications Counsel, Inc.

Communications Counsel, Inc.
37 West Broad Street, Suite 325
Columbus, Ohio 43215
12/17/2011 Dec 2011 & Sub-Consulting $11381.02

IF the tea partiers would get their heads out of their arses and quit thinking every incumbent is evil, they would see that they are throwing in with the guy who destroyed their chance at any right to work legislation he also was working with Kevin DeWine when he shot down their chances to get Tpers on the State Central Committee.

The OLC has become nothing more than an anti-incumbency group, a fringe organization that if it has any hope of being worth a damn, needs to get rid of people so strident who think we need to get rid of one of the most conservative members of Congress from Ohio. Someone who has gotten high rankings from industrial and business groups, as well as family groups. And, Jean never ever used a Soros attack group to besmirch a fellow Republican. But, I guess all that matters to Tom Z and the folks at OLC is Brad wore a uniform, has a penis, and spews all their rhetoric with very little proof in the pudding.

I am saddened and disgusted, despite the opportunity to meet Herman Cain, to have ever gone to Tom Z's convention or be associated with it. If this is his idea of looking into a candidate, I suggest he revisit things a bit.

Now, let's look at Jean Schmidt:

_Endorsed by the NRA victory fund
_Endorsed by Ohio Right to Life PAC
_Family Research Council and Citizen Link 100% Rating
_Ohio Congresswoman Jean Schmidt (R-OH) received the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence
_Americans for Prosperity 100% rating
_Campaign for Working Families 100% rating
_Endorsed by Cincinnati Right to Life PAC
_Endorsed by Buckeye Firearms Association
_Congresswoman Jean Schmidt has been recognized as a ‘Taxpayer Hero’ by the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste.

I guess To Tom Z and the OLC, these organizations don't know what they are talking about...but I tend to go with organizations with actual track records over flashes in the pan any day of the week...But, your mileage may vary....

Update and Corrected: Dr. Brad Wenstrup Must Have Thought They Said Hypocrite Oath Instead of Hippocratic...

Here's why....

But then why did he do this?????

Cincinnati Board of Health

Board of Health Meeting

May 24, 2011

Dr. Wael Safi, Chairperson, Board of Health called the May 24, 2011 meeting of the

Cincinnati Board of Health to order at 6:15 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Board members present: Ms. Joyce Kinley, Dr. Jeff Lange, Dr. Wael Safi, Dr. Richard

Schwen, Dr. Donna Shambley-Ebron (left at 7:40) and Dr. Brad Wenstrup,

Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio—Sub-grantee award (Attachment

No. 9)

Up to $85,000 June 1, 2011-December 31, 2011

The Health Department is requesting reallocation of funding from Stop

AIDS, which is defunded from the state. The funds will go to Planned

Parenthood for HIV/AIDS prevention. The funds will be strictly used for

HIV/AIDS testing and prevention. The same health counselors from Stop

AIDS will be working for Planned Parenthood .

“That the Board approve the subgrant of up to $85,000 to Planned

Parenthood of Southwest Ohio with remaining funds from grant awarded

to Stop AIDS for HIV/AIDS prevention.”

Second:

Discussion: Dr. Lange

Vote/Action: Motion passes unanimously and is approved.

Last time I looked, Planned Parenthood does abortions and promotes abortions.. As an aside, they also have been accused of covering up child rape. Just sayin'. And, this appears to satisfy ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Therefore, is Dr. Brad:
A)illiterate
B)untruthful
C)didn't read the question and understand it fully, showing he doesn't do due dilligence in filling out paperwork, like, you know, when under his tenure Cincinnati lost a health grant they had previously held for 30 years due to bad stewardship?

Whichever it is, it means he shouldn't be representing us in the 2nd district. Unethical, illiterate, poor stewardship.....Not getting my vote....

And his buddies in COAST are not blameless either:
Despite a claimed fiscal crisis, on Monday of this week liberal democrats Todd Portune and David Pepper voted to approve funding of Planned Parenthood to the tune of $26,255. COAST joined Cincinnati Right to Life and Citizens for Community Values in e-mailing their members against this misuse of tax funds. An outcry from more than 1,500 residents nearly closed down business in the County administrative offices with calls and e-mails.

Posted by COAST at 10/24/2008 07:01:00 AM

Why are they not blameless? Because this supposed fiscal conservative group endorsed Brad Wenstrup for Congress....

Schmidt Earns Endorsement of Ohio Right to Life PAC

Brad Wenstrup says he is the true pro life conservative. Yet, he gave taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood, an organization accused of covering up child rape. Not very conservative, pro life, or pro family to me. But, Congresswoman Jean Schmidt has shown and earned high scores on these issues as well as endorsements. Ohio Right to Life PAC has endorsed Jean Schmidt:
Congresswoman Jean Schmidt has been endorsed in the March 6 Republican primary election by the Ohio Right to Life Political Action Committee.

"The 2012 congressional elections will determine the pro-life balance of power in Washington D.C.," Mike Gonidakis said on behalf of the Ohio Right to Life PAC. "As pro-life Ohioans, it is our responsibility to support these endorsed candidates. Too many pro-life initiatives have been stalled by our pro-abortion president. ... We are asking all Ohioans to consider the unique opportunity we have before us to transform our federal government in order to place women's health and the lives of their unborn children as a top priority."

Congresswoman Schmidt, a Clermont County Republican who represents Ohio's Second District, was endorsed earlier this month by the Cincinnati Right to Life PAC, which also is dedicated to ending abortion.
"It is an honor to be recognized for leading the legislative fight to protect the lives of unborn babies," said Congresswoman Schmidt, who is chairwoman of the Congressional Pro-Life Women's Caucus.

During the last session of the U.S. House, Congresswoman Schmidt co-sponsored and voted for a bill to repeal Obamacare. The president's health-care measure could open the door for taxpayer money to go to abortion providers. Congresswoman Schmidt also co-sponsored and voted for the Protect Life Act, which would amend Obamacare to prevent federal funds from supporting health-care plans that include abortion coverage. In addition, Congresswoman Schmidt recently co-sponsored and voted for the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.

Congresswoman Schmidt previously served four years as a lawmaker in the Ohio General Assembly, where she was instrumental in ensuring that Planned Parenthood didn't receive funding from the state. "I oppose local, state, or federal taxpayer dollars going to Planned Parenthood for any reason - because such money frees up resources that can be used to promote and perform abortions," Congresswoman Schmidt said.

Congresswoman Schmidt was president of Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati in 2005, when she became the first woman elected to represent Southern Ohio in Congress.

Schmidt Scores High in Another Rating

Family Research Council Action and CitizenLink recently released their Vote Scorecard for the first session of the 112th Congress. FRC Action and CitizenLink scored numerous votes that were detrimental to the family. The new Scorecard details how members of Congress voted on pro-life and pro-family issues. In all, eight Senators and 46 Representatives had 100 percent, "True Blue" voting records in the scorecard.

FRC Action seeks to fortify the traditional foundations of civil society through efforts to educate, inform and influence elected officials in support of the country's historic ideals of equality under the law, and the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness on which the nation was founded.

Schmidt Earns Manufacturing Honor

Sources close to me found this story, and felt like sharing...continuing to set the record straight regarding Jean Schmidt....
National Association of Manufactures ( NAM ) and Siemens Honor Congresswoman Jean Schmidt for Supporting a Pro-Manufacturing Agenda
Rep. Jean Schmidt Demonstrates Leadership and Support for Economic Growth and Job Creation

Ohio Congresswoman Jean Schmidt (R-OH) received the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence in recognition of her consistent support of manufacturers and their employees across the United States . The Award was presented last year, in recognition of her record in the 111th Congress, at an event sponsored by NAM member Siemens at its plant in Norwood, Ohio.

“On behalf of Siemens and our employees, I thank Congresswoman Schmidt for championing the causes that will help manufacturers thrive in Ohio and across the United States,” said Mark Cooksey, motor segment general manager, Drive Technologies Division, Siemens Industry, Inc. “We’re fortunate to have Jean Schmidt in our corner, advocating policies that will enable us to grow through innovation, job creation and sustainability efforts to stay ahead of global competition.”

“Congresswoman Schmidt supports common-sense policies that will enable manufacturers to create and maintain good high-paying jobs in Ohio and throughout America ,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons. “A vibrant manufacturing base is vital to getting our economy turned around and ensuring quality of life for all Americans. It is critical to have lawmakers like Congresswoman Schmidt whose actions consistently match their words when it comes to a pro-manufacturing agenda for economic growth and job creation.”

The National Association of Manufacturers is the largest manufacturing association in the United States , representing manufacturers in every industrial sector and in all 50 states. Manufacturing has a presence in every single congressional district providing good, high-paying jobs.

The only thing I see about Brad Wenstrup's stewardship comes from a previous story regarding the Cincinnati Board of Health (you know, the board Brad serves on where he approves of giving money to Planned Parenthood and losing a grant the board held for 30 years:
State officials said the city was such a “poor” steward of the funds "there is not a way I could justify using taxpayer dollars to put money back in to the hands of the Cincinnati Health Department to do these programs," said William McHugh, the Ohio Department of Health's division of prevention chief.

Seems like someone is being a good steward and conservative...and someone is giving Planned Parenthood money...the same Planned Parenthood that stands accused of covering up child rape....

Schmidt Earns 100% rating from Americans For Prosperity

Brad Wenstrup uses George Soros backed organizations to vet candidates....I use actual conservative groups. Jean Schmidt scores a 100% rating from Americans for Prosperity....

Americans for Prosperity, the premier free market grassroots organization committed to smaller government and free enterprise, just released its congressional key vote scorecard summarizing how Members of Congress voted on the most important economic issues in the first session of the 112th Congress.

The scorecard included critical votes on such issues as the repeal of President Obama’s new health care law, preempting EPA’s purported authority to regulate greenhouse gases, the Ryan budget framework, ending ethanol subsidies, several Congressional Review Act resolutions of disapproval to overturn new regulations and the fiscal year 2012 appropriations bills.

For a complete list of votes that were scored in the first session and how each Member of Congress performed on each vote, visit: www.AmericansforProsperity.org/Scorecard.

Members of Congress with A+ Grade (100%) for the First Session of the 112th Congress

U.S. Senators (5)

Tom Coburn, Mike Crapo, Orrin Hatch, Marco Rubio, Ron Johnson

U.S. Representatives (39)

Todd Akin, Justin Amash, Mo Brooks, Ann Marie Buerkle, Dan Burton, Steve Chabot,

Tom Graves, Andy Harris, Wally Herger, Tim Huelskamp, Bill Huizenga, Jim Jordan,

Kenny Marchant. Mick Mulvaney, Randy Neugebauer, Mike Pence, Benjamin Quayle,

Reid Ribble, Jason Chaffetz, Raul Labrador, Jean Schmidt, Mike Coffman, Jeff Flake,

John Fleming, Trent Franks, Scott Garrett, Trey Gowdy, Doug Lamborn, Jeff Landry,

Cynthia Lummis, Tom McClintock, Patrick McHenry, Donald Manzullo, Dave Schweikert,

Steve Southerland, Marlin Stutzman, Tim Walberg, Joe Walsh, Joe Wilson

So, again, I ask: how will Wenstrup better this score if elected? The only thing I see him doing is mismanaging Board of health so bad the state removes a 30 year old grant...and giving taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood...Doesn't sound more conservative to me.....

Note: This is NOT an endorsement, but a score card rating....

COAST Chooses Hypocrisy over Values in Helping Wenstrup Raise Cash

COASTers host fundraiser to help Dr. Brad Wenstrup's congressional campaign

###

When so-called “liberal” democrats voted to approve funding of Planned Parenthood to the tune of $26,000, COAST said it was a “misuse of tax funds”. But when Brad Wenstrup voted to give Planned Parenthood $85,000 of tax funds, you didn’t hear a peep out of Chris Finney’s group COAST. Instead they turned a blind eye to the misuse of taxpayer funds. The COAST motto seems to be: Do as we say, not as we do.

###

The Cincinnati Board of Health voted unanimously to give a sub-grant of up to $85,000 to the Planned Parenthood abortion business in the area, Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio. This is the same abortion business that was caught covering up a case of sexual abuse of a minor. The members of the Board of Health present at the time of the meeting approving the funding were Joyce Kinley, Dr. Jeff Lange, Dr. Wael Safi, Dr. Richard Schwen, Dr. Donna Shambley-Ebron and Dr. Brad Wenstrup.

So, COAST is supporting the guy who gave money to Planned Parenthood on the Board of Health, even though they called the allocation a waste of taxpayer dollars? They are supporting and raising money for the guy who so mismanaged the board of health a gratn in place for 30 years was removed?

Funny, I thought COAST was about conservative values and fiscal responsibility. It seems in OH-2 it is all about hating Jean Schmidt....Is it because she is successful? Is it because she is a woman? Or both? Or is it just because they beat COAST favorite Tom Brinkman and it is vendetta time?

Whichever way, don't support their spending candidate. Whichever way, how can you believe they stand for what they claim to, when they support a candidate who was such a poor steward of tax dollars?

Maybe Dr. Wenstrup Should Have Asked Rick Santorum About CREW Before Using Them...

So-called "solid conservative" Dr. Brad Wenstrup has shown he is not conservative. He has shown little in the way of due diligence as either a member of the Cincinnati Board of Health (a grant the city had received for 30 years from the state has been revoked under his watch, and all he does is cower behind Roxy Qualls) and he didn't take 30 seconds to google CREW, the George Soros funded group he cites calling Jean Schmidt corrupt. Well, I guess, Brad, Rick Santorum is corrupt, too, because CREW said he was. You should have asked Santorum about CREW. He joked about them in a recent debate:

To the corruption charge, Santorum ridiculed the accusation: “The group that called me corrupt was a group called [Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington]. If you haven’t been sued by CREW, you’re not a conservative.”

So, Brad, I guess Jean should thank you in a way. By citing CREW as your source, you are really saying she IS A CONSERVATIVE. Yeah, Chris Finney, you too. I know you have used CREW's garbage to smear Jean, so really, I guess you know she is a conservative, according to Rick Santorum, or is he suddenly now not a conservative? Clowns both, Finney and Brad.

Brad Wenstrup...not good with our money...not solid on the facts. Not good for OH-2!

Dr. Wenstrup, Mr. "ProLife Strong Conservative", Frames Questions to Avoid Issues

Brad Wenstrup learned a valuable lesson in our brief encounter in Brown County. He learned even more how to obfuscate. What am I talking about now? From confidential but factual sources:
Cincinnati Board of Health
Board of Health Meeting
November 15 2011

B. Victoria Wells Wulsin, M.D., Ph.D. —Contract Amendment
Up to $198,000 July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2012
Proposed Motion: At the request of the Health Commissioner,
“That the Board approve the agreement between the Cincinnati Health Department and Victoria Wells Wulsin as Program Director for the Reproductive Health Improvement Collaborative for $198,000 effective July 1, 2011 to on or before June 30, 2012.”
Second: Dr. Shambley-Ebron
Discussion: Dr. Wenstrup asked for clarification that this program has no relationship or affiliation with Planned Parenthood and there would be no funding for abortions; the grant addresses reproductive health and the health of the mother and the child. Dr. Wulsin stated that the grant will be used only for the health of women, children and men. This is not a partnership with Planned Parenthood and none of the funds will be used for abortions. Dr. Holditch concurred.
Vote/Action: unanimously passed and approved

No word on if Slick Vic wanted to give the kids malaria as a contraceptive, the way she wanted to give it to AIDs Patients.

Do we notice how Wenstrup was very careful not to ask if this program was going to fund contraceptives for children as young as 11 years old without parental consent. He knew the issue with this program was contraceptives for girls as young as 11 years old without parental consent. He was very careful so as to not get an answer he didn't want to see in print.

But, again, any money that isn't going to nonabortion activities gives them more money for abortion activities....but wait, there is more....

Check out this link:
http://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/health/downloads/health_pdf44763.pdf

Some interesting things here to take away:
Check out the STD/HIV grant presentation on page 5. It looks like this group lost their grant funding from the State of Ohio because of poor performance and miscalculations. Remember the other group, Stop AIDS, that lost their funding for the same reasons. This is taxpayer money they are playing with.

Dr. Brad is playing fast and loose with taxpayer money, and giving it to a woman who wanted to inject AIDS patients with malaria. Also, he doesn't research or vette his sources very well. He is NOT what we need in Congress. He is nothing more than a fast talking, good time johnny, tea party bandwagon jumper. That is it. Don't believe this clown.

Chris Christie on Newt Gingrich: Pot talks about Kettle.

You know, at one time, I kind of liked Chris Christie. He helped fix New Jersey, took on the teacher unions, and seemed to be an average guy. Well, he has shown now he is more of a political hack and squish. First, there was the love affair Ann Coulter had for him, and his yes I'm in, no I'm out crap every other week. Now, he is talking about Newt Gingrich like Newt is....Chris Christie. What I mean is, an attention seeking, self promoting blowhard. Today on Scarborough:
The guest panelist here was TIME Magazine senior political analyst Mark Halperin, and he said to Governor Christie, "What have you heard from your fellow Republican governors and other leading Republicans at what would happen if Newt Gingrich were at the top of the ticket?"

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

CHRISTIE: I think that the problem for us if Speaker Gingrich were at the top is that the election would be about Speaker Gingrich and not about the president. And I think as Republicans, this election has to be first and foremost about the president. And I think this Speaker just can't help himself but to make himself the center of attention all the time with the comments that he makes. And as a result, even though while some of his ideas I think are fine, I think some of them aren't, and in the end, he's gonna carry so much of that into election that, you know, the election's gonna be about Newt Gingrich and I don't think that's a good thing for our party.

Chris Christie thinks, like most moderates and blue blood Republicans, that if we elect a bland empty suit, then no one will talk bad about him. How is that working for President McCain or former President Dole, eh? Not so good, huh? Moderates just don't get it. You could nominate Mother Teresa as a candidate, and the media and the left would disparage her.

And for Chris Christie to disparage someone on the basis of seeking attention? You sanctimonious hypocrite, look in the mirror! And, STFU! Stay out of it, clown! You didn't have the stones in the end to run for the big job, so STFU!

It will not matter who the candidate is. The media and the left will try to make it not about Obama and more about the GOP candidate. That is what they always do. Look at 1980 and every election since. They stop talking about, when a dem is the incumbent, how sucky the economy is as soon as the GOP contender is chosen. They did it in 1980, and they are going to do it for Carter 2.0, aka Obama. Doltish, idiotic, squish blue blood elitist gopers.

By the way, the supposed conservative Christie has endorsed the godfather of obamacare, Mitt Romney, to be the GOP nominee.
