During the vice presidential debate, Joe Biden said that more M1 Abrams tanks were no longer necessary. For people who live in Lima and work to make the tanks, Biden is saying the jobs they love and care about are no longer necessary.
President Obama’s looming defense cuts are threatening to devastate our national security and destroy jobs across the nation. In Lima alone, the President’s 2013 defense budget plan puts at jeopardy nearly 800 jobs, including thousands of jobs at small businesses. Under the President’s plan, General Dynamics, the company that manufacturers the tanks, would be forced to temporarily shut down and hand out hundreds of pink slips. To add insult to injury, the plant has already cut a number of well-paying jobs.
At a time when 23 million Americans across the country are struggling to find work, it’s unconscionable to kick more Lima workers to the unemployment line. Unfortunately, this course of action is unwise when we are trying to preserve our national security and jump start our economy.
The Lima plant tank is not only vital to the local economy but our country’s national security and military readiness. However, Joe Biden and Barack Obama don’t seem to understand this. If the tank plant isn’t saved, we risk losing a unique manufacturing skill set and perhaps most concerning is the way the world views us. When we make cuts to our defense we project weakness abroad.
Perhaps most concerning about the President’s reckless pursuit of disarmament is his commitment to pursue it at a time when disorder is on the rise abroad, particularly in the Middle East. Every day, Iran marches closer to a nuclear weapon, and in Syria, tens of thousands of innocents have been slaughtered by an oppressive regime.
Indeed, the world is a dangerous place. It’s quite clear that closing the doors to a plant here in Lima and cutting our defense at this critical moment is not the solution. They don’t seem to understand that when we make cuts to our defense that the President’s own Secretary of Defense characterized as “devastating,” we project weakness abroad.
I know the President hopes for a safer, freer, and a more prosperous Middle East allied with the United States. I share this hope. But hope is not a strategy. We cannot protect the United States and support our friends when our words are not backed up by deeds when our defense spending is being arbitrarily and deeply cut, when we have no trade agenda to speak of, and the perception of our strategy is not one of partnership, but of passivity.
And that’s why the contrast before the American people in this election could not be more important.
Mitt Romney will not weaken our nation’s defenses. He will reverse the President’s misguided cuts to our military. Instead of leading from behind, he’ll restore American leadership across the globe. And he’ll put America on a new course at time when we cannot afford four more years of the same failed policies.

GUEST COLUMN: "Obama’s Defense Cuts Will Leave Lima Struggling"

Mittmentum in Ohio is REAL
Early and absentee voting have become the thin reed to which the Obama campaign is clinging in Ohio. As Mitt Romney has seen a surge in the polls and while enthusiasm is cratering even among Barack Obama’s most fervent supporters, Democrats have pointed to strength in early and absentee voting as their secret weapon in this election. But a closer look at the numbers reveals the truth—President Obama’s early voting firewall in Ohio is an illusion.
The Obama campaign can spin, but the numbers don’t lie. Democrats traditionally have a large advantage in early and absentee voting whereas Republicans vote on Election Day. But Republicans have slashed that advantage this cycle. In 2008, 42.5 percent of early ballots were cast by Democrats, whereas only 22 percent were Republicans. This cycle, 35 percent of these ballots have been cast by Democrats, while Republicans have increased their share to 28 percent. That number will only continue to narrow. Republicans have closed the gap on Democrats’ historic absentee and early vote advantage for 14 of the past 15 days. At the same time, in many of Ohio’s biggest counties, Republican absentee voting is actually outpacing—often by large percentages—the number of registered Republicans.
What do these numbers show? The show a Republican base that is energized and excited about Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and a Democratic Party that is depressed and demoralized after four years of Barack Obama and a campaign that has offered nothing but more of the same.
No doubt Democrats will continue to point to their shrinking lead in absentee and early voting. But privately, they know that a wave is building, and it will carry Mitt Romney all the way to the White House.

Obama Sez That Wasnt Real Romney Last Night...Was it Real Obama?
Or is this the real Barack Obama?

Barack Obama the image of the post racial president is not real. He is a brand. He has been created by the media, protected by the media, as well as his handlers. He finally faced direct challenges to him and his so called accomplishments. Last night, we got a view at who Obama really is, and the video above further illustrates that he is someone who is not intellectually curious, someone who is as closeminded as Jeremiah Wright, who Obama admits in the video above from 2007 shaped him. We did see Mitt Romney last night, but in the ultimate case of liberal projection, Obama is saying that was not the real Mitt that kicked his arse last night....seriously, sir...is that all you have? How pathetic, how not worthy of the office of the President!
The real Barack Obama...petulant, blank, smirking, sneering, and arrogantly parroting big lies trying to get people to believe them. Exactly what we see in this video and exactly what we saw in the debates last night...

The Debate of a Lifetime
The hype for debates is often overblown while the substance of the event itself disappoints. That was not the case last night.
The reviews of the first presidential debate are in, and the unquestioned winner was Mitt Romney. Check out this video of Mitt Romney dismantling the President’s position during the debate. And the Republican National Committee quickly put together this fact check pointing out some of the President’s less than truthful positions.
I hate to be so one sided—everyone believes in equal time after all. But the President’s debate performance was a lot like his presidency. It was unfocused and inconsistent. He wasn’t forceful. He displayed no leadership. If President Obama thought that anything Mitt Romney said was incorrect or if he thought any of his criticisms of the President’s record was unfair, we didn’t hear it.
Simply put, Mitt Romney showed why he is ready to be president and why is ready to end the economic downturn. President Obama? Not so much.

We Won't Be Better Off with More Obama Here in Ohio: Defense Job Edition
From Team Romney, with actual facts and stuff....
At Wright Patterson AFB, 452 positions are targeted. In Mansfield, about 130 defense jobs. These are good paying jobs, which are vital to these economies. However, Obama doesn't care. he doesn't care about national defense. Look at how he kowtows to the Russians in negotiations, letting them have more nuclear weapons than we do and also giving up on an eastern europe defense shield.

Mitt Romney's Remarks in Norfolk, VA
Boston, MA – Mitt Romney today delivered the following remarks in Norfolk, Virginia after he selected Paul Ryan to be his Vice Presidential running mate:
Ladies and gentlemen:
It’s great to be back in Virginia and here in Norfolk. Your city's beauty is only matched by its proud heritage as a defender of freedom. Today we take another step forward in helping restore the promise of America. As we move forward in this campaign and on to help lead the nation to better days, it is an honor to announce my running mate and the next Vice President of the United States: Paul Ryan.
Paul Ryan is a leader.
His leadership begins with character and values. And Paul is a man of tremendous character, shaped in large part by his early life.
Paul’s father died when he was in high school. That forced him to grow up earlier than any young man should. But Paul did, with the help of his devoted mother, his brothers and sister, and a supportive community. And as he did, he internalized the virtues and hard-working ethic of the Midwest.
Paul Ryan works in Washington – but his beliefs remain firmly rooted in Janesville, Wisconsin. He is a person of great steadiness, whose integrity is unquestioned and whose word is good.
Paul’s upbringing is obvious in how he has conducted himself throughout his life, including his leadership in Washington.
In a city that is far too often characterized by pettiness and personal attacks, Paul Ryan is a shining exception. He does not demonize his opponents. He understands that honorable people can have honest differences. And he appeals to the better angels of our nature. There are a lot of people in the other party who might disagree with Paul Ryan; I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t respect his character and judgment.
Paul is in public life for all the right reasons – not to advance his personal ambitions but to advance the ideals of freedom and justice; and to increase opportunity and prosperity to people of every class and faith, every age and ethnic background. A faithful Catholic, Paul believes in the worth and dignity of every human life.
With energy and vision, Paul Ryan has become an intellectual leader of the Republican Party. He understands the fiscal challenges facing America: our exploding deficits and crushing debt – and the fiscal catastrophe that awaits us if we don’t change course.
Paul Ryan combines a profound sense of responsibility for what we owe the next generation with an unbounded optimism in America’s future and an understanding of all the wonderful things the American people can do.
Paul also combines firm principles with a practical concern for getting things done. He has never been content to simply curse the darkness; he would rather light candles. And throughout his legislative career he’s shown the ability to work with members of both parties to find common ground on some of the hardest issues confronting the American people.
Paul and I are beginning on a journey that will take us to every corner of America. We are offering a positive, governing agenda that will lead to economic growth, to widespread and shared prosperity, and that will improve the lives of our fellow citizens. Our Plan to Strengthen The Middle Class will get America back to work and get our country back on track.
We offer solutions that are bold, specific, and achievable. We offer our commitment to help create 12 million new jobs and to bring better take home pay to middle class families.
To strengthen the middle class, we will provide our workers and our children with the skills to succeed. We’ll cut the deficit, have trade that works for America, and champion small business. And finally, we will unleash our energy resources to achieve North American energy independence.
We will help care for those who cannot care for themselves, and we will return work to welfare. As poverty has risen to historic and tragic levels, with nearly one out of six Americans now having fallen into poverty, we will act to bring these families into the middle class. Unlike the current president who has cut Medicare funding by $700 billion, we will preserve and protect Medicare and Social Security. Under the current president, healthcare has only become more expensive. We will reform healthcare so that more Americans have access to affordable healthcare, and we will get that started by repealing and replacing Obamacare.
And at a time when the President's campaign is taking American politics to new lows, we are going to do things differently. We are going to talk about aspirations and American ideals; about bringing people together to solve the urgent problems facing our nation. And when that message wins in America, it will be a victory for every American.
Today is a good day for America. And there are better days ahead. Join me in welcoming the next Vice President of the United States - Paul Ryan

Ryan for Veep Reactions
Tom Zawistowski, President of Ohio Liberty Coalition:
Columbus, Ohio - The Ohio Liberty Coalition released a statement today supporting the announcement of Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan as the Vice-Presidential pick of Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney. OLC President Tom Zawistowski said "Our members will see this as a solid conservative pick and will be excited about supporting a Romney-Ryan ticket. It tells us that Mitt Romney intends to take our current and future financial challenges seriously. That he is willing to do the difficult things that must be done to get government spending and regulations under control and allow the private sector to start growing again. Paul Ryan is an excellent choice and he will be a valuable asset on the campaign trail and in working with Congress as the Vice-President."Rob Gleason, Chairman of Republican Party of Pennsylvania:
He concluded by saying, "This pick will force the Obama camp out of their campaign of distraction and into a position of having to defend their failed economic policies and flawed tax-and-spend socialist economic philosophies. Paul Ryan understands our fiscal issues better than anyone and is articulate enough to make the case for fiscal reform in an easy to understand manner that will connect with the American people."
Today it is official; Mitt Romney chose Paul Ryan to join him on the Republican ticket as his Vice Presidential running mate.Chairman Reince Priebus and RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day of RNC:
A Romney-Ryan team will close the door on four years of President Obama's high unemployment, out-of-control spending, and usher a new era of American prosperity.
"My friend and fellow Wisconsinite Paul Ryan will serve America admirably as the next Vice President of the United States. Today, Americans are starving for leaders who can fix our economy and get our spending under control. Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan have the knowledge, expertise and vision we need to get America working again and get our fiscal house in order. Across the country, Americans are hurting, but America's Comeback Team will offer us a new direction and a brighter future. I congratulate Governor Romney on his excellent decision. This is a great day for Wisconsin and for America," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.Congressman Allen West:
"I share the Chairman's enthusiasm for Congressman Paul Ryan. The Romney-Ryan ticket will help get America working again," said RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day.
"I am pleased to congratulate my colleague, Congressman Paul Ryan, on being selected to join Mitt Romney on the road to the White House as his Vice Presidential running-mate. As I have always said, I will wholeheartedly support the Republican candidates, and with true fiscal conservative Paul Ryan, on the ticket, I am particularly pleased to do so.Jeb Bush, former Governor of Florida:
Congressman Ryan has a deep understanding of the fiscal challenges facing our nation in both the short and long term. He has consistently provided realistic, actionable solutions that will keep our promises to our seniors while putting our economy back on the "Road to Prosperity." Unlike President Obama, he put forward a serious budget.
The damaging economic policies of President Obama's administration have left Americans with unemployment at or above 8% for 42 months and they are now facing the largest tax increase in history. His foreign policies have emboldened our enemies and left our allies vulnerable. Our nation cannot afford to continue down this destructive path which seeks to wed more Americans to government handouts, saddles our children and grandchildren with insurmountable debt, weakens our defenses at home and abroad, and turns Americans against each other. President Romney and Vice President Ryan will put our nation back on a course of economic freedom and equality of opportunity for all Americans.
The combination of Mitt Romney's successful record in business and government, and Paul Ryan's legislative experience and willingness to lead on pressing fiscal problems is just the recipe to get America back on the right path. President Mitt Romney and Vice President Paul Ryan are what we need to begin restoring the greatness of our Constitutional Republic."
“I applaud Mitt Romney’s selection of Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential running mate. Congressman Ryan’s command of economic policy and the federal budget will prove invaluable as Governor Romney fights to reform government, accelerate job growth and rein in the out-of-control spending that has been a hallmark of President Obama’s years in office. This courageous choice is the type of leadership American voters deserve. And, I believe it will ensure a victory for the Romney-Ryan ticket this November.”Bobby Jindal, Governor of Louisiana:
"Paul is a good friend and one of the smartest guys I served with in Congress. He has the courage of his convictions, which is what our nation needs."

It Would Be Nice If We Had Democrats Committed to America
That is a paraphrase of the latest tripe from the lips of Debbie WasAMan Schultz, DNC chair. In an attack on Romney, she said that it would be nice if we had a presidential candidate committed to America. Of course, she didn't say Obama was committed to America (which we know he is only committed to remaking America into a communist dictatorship), but she meant that Romney is not committed to America because he has some investments in banks overseas. Hey Debs, guess what? Mitt cannot control exactly where his money is. Remember, he has a BLIND TRUST! Meaning, he doesn't get to decide where the money goes. You and Nancy Pelosi, on the other hand, do get to decide where your money goes....and let's see. First, from The Weekly Standard:
Gee, Debbie, why didn't you invest in America? But your fearless leader, Nancy Pelosi, she isn't committed to America, either...fromthe Daily Caller :
Of course, these are two idiots who said we had to pass a bill to find out what is in it. And then there is Obama and all his mysterious foreign donors, etc.....Gee, Mr. Obama, why aren't you committed to America?
Disclosure forms reveal that Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a member of Congress from Florida, previously held funds with investments in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, and the state bank of India. This revelation comes mere days after the Democratic chair attacked presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for holding money in Swiss bank accounts in the past. But disclosure forms reveal that in 2010, Wasserman Schultz invested between $1,001-$15,000 in a 401k retirement fund run by Davis Financial Fund. As the fund discloses, it is invested in the Julius Baer Group Ltd. and the State Bank of India GDR Ltd., as well as other financial, insurance, bank institutions.
Gee, Debbie, why didn't you invest in America? But your fearless leader, Nancy Pelosi, she isn't committed to America, either...fromthe Daily Caller :
we can add Nancy Pelosi to the list of prominent Democrats to profit from overseas investments.
According to Pelosi’s 2011 financial disclosure statement, the Democratic House Minority Leader received between $1 million and $5 million in partnership income from ”Matthews International Capital Management LLC,” a group that emphasizes that it has a “A Singular Focus on Investing in Asia.” A quick trip to the company website reveals a featured post extolling the virtues of outsourcing.
“Designed in California, Made in Manila” sounds like an excellent title for a smear ad to be run the by the Barack Obama campaign. Instead, it appears to be Nancy Pelosi’s investment strategy.
Pelosi is also a small investor in the embattled “Moduslink Global,” one of the “outsourcing pioneers” that Mitt Romney has been criticized for associating with while at Bain Capital.
It’s not surprising that a wealthy politician would invest globally (nor should it be considered problematic). This is interesting because of the attacks on Mitt Romney’s investments — because Obama purportedly believes in the virtues of “insourcing” and anti-globalization. (Obama appears to be running on a protectionist platform that went out of style with Canadian tuxedos)
Obama sure can preach the economic nationalism, but it doesn’t appear his fellow leaders and surrogates are buying the message.
If they aren’t, why should other Americans?
Of course, these are two idiots who said we had to pass a bill to find out what is in it. And then there is Obama and all his mysterious foreign donors, etc.....Gee, Mr. Obama, why aren't you committed to America?

MSNBC Hack Mitchell Gets Schooled by Romney Surrogate
Remember Andrea Mitchell?

She's the one who thinks the deaths of Agents Zapata and Terry at the hands of Mexican drug cartels using guns given to them by the US government is "just politics" and no big deal...Well, her ignorance and stupidity continue to shine as she gets taken to school by a Romney surrogate who takes her to the woodshed on outsourcing. Go check out the video here and then come back....
OK, get all that? It is hilarious to watch these troglodytes who are supposedly so smart and observant get schooled. Andrea Mitchell looks like the emptyheaded bass face she is, and for the three people who watch MSNBC, the truth gets out there some more. Sununu shows Mitchell to be a brainless automaton, who has been confronted with the illogic of position, and overheats trying to defend the indefensible. Ol' Andrea got some serious egg on that bass face of hers...

Romney Speech at NAACP Good Political Move?
Interesting, but the folks at IJ Review Think so. From their post:
I admire the Mittster's moxy, as well as his persistence. It is sad that the black community is one of the most bigoted in our times today, if this crowd is to be a microcosm of the community. I don't care if someone is pink or yellow or green, if they are causing 14% or more unemployment for my cultural group, they are history. But evidently not in the eyes of the NAACP. Screw the community, we love Obama! Ridiculous. And Barry is not even showing up to talk to the NAACP:
It would be funny if Biden pulled a Ted Danson and showed up in blackface....I mean, he is that crazy....But, pray tell, how is this speech where you could hear the hate a plus for Romney?
This is not the Mitt Romney I have seen or researched. If his spine has finally evolved, I am in full agreement with this article. However, one speech where he takes a stiff upper lip does not a pattern make. Let's hope this is the start of something good.
Mitt Romney made a very strong move by speaking before the NAACP today, and an even stronger move by not changing or avoiding his stance to repeal ObamaCare in front of that crowd.
“If our goal is jobs, we have to stop spending over a trillion dollars more than we take in every year. So to do that, I’m going to eliminate every non-essential, expensive program I can find. That includes ObamaCare,” Romney said before the crowd unleashed a cascade of boos.
Making a speech to an audience consisting of one of the most well-known and established civil rights groups that shows an overwhelming amount of support for the incumbent President Obama is no easy task, but Mitt Romney was up to it and showed that he is willing to reach out to those who disagree with him. He heard boos and the crowd jeered him as he explicitly voiced his opposition to many Obama policies on energy, trade, the size of government, education, and the economy, but he didn’t budge on his stances or cater to the crowd just for the sake of political pandering (like his opponent has been known to do.)
“The president will say he will do those things, but he will not, he cannot, and his record of the last four years proves it,” Romney told the booing crowd. He added, “If you want a president who will make things better in the African American community, you are looking at him.”
Why would that crowd boo him? President Obama’s policies haven’t worked for them; Romney pointed out that African American unemployment just went up from 13.6% to 14.4% last month. Whatever Obama has done for them clearly hasn’t worked. They should have been cheering.
And their go-to guy, the president himself, isn’t even speaking to the NAACP to explain why their unemployment went up. Instead, Obama’s official foot-taster Joe Biden will attempt to not make a gaffe for them. Some leadership, ey? That alone should be a slap in the face to the crowd who played a gigantic part in even getting him into the Oval Office in the first place.
It would be funny if Biden pulled a Ted Danson and showed up in blackface....I mean, he is that crazy....But, pray tell, how is this speech where you could hear the hate a plus for Romney?
But this speech set a precedent for Romney – he is not about to change his mind about this economy and he will not cater to those who hold different views just for the sake of getting their votes. The tenacity he showed will likely appeal to independent voters undecided about which candidate to support. Many independents want to see a leader – not a talking head.
Say what you will about Romney; talk about his same-sex marriage stances; bring up RomneyCare; show Youtube videos of him calling the individual mandate a penalty/fine/tax; do whatever you want, but at the end of the day the guy has done very little during this campaign outside of having laser-like focus on the economy.
Romney branded himself today as the ‘The Serious Adult’ candidate. He didn’t avoid talking about ObamaCare or any other topic just because he knew the crowd wouldn’t like it. He acted like a leader.
“He wasn’t speaking to the NAACP audience at all,” Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed said. “To his base it will make him look strong, but he never stands up to anybody else.”
So what? Obama’s teleprompter has been telling him to tout the black hole mystery magical “Hope” and “Change” for going on five years now – where has that gotten us? Romney told the crowd what they’ve needed to hear.
The NAACP ended up giving Romney a standing ovation at the end of his speech. A standing ovation may not equate to votes, but it shows that people are responsive to strong leadership qualities. People want and need a leader that will say what should be said regardless of whether or not it is popular. He spoke to a group that he knew he couldn’t win over, remained strong on his stance to repeal ObamaCare, and branded himself as a ‘The Serious Adult’ candidate that will remain strong in the face of opposition. That’s exactly the kind of leadership this country needs right now, and this speech in the face of adversity may just turn out to be one of the smartest political moves we have seen in a very long time.
This is not the Mitt Romney I have seen or researched. If his spine has finally evolved, I am in full agreement with this article. However, one speech where he takes a stiff upper lip does not a pattern make. Let's hope this is the start of something good.

Storm Clouds on the Horizon
The President is following in Mitt Romney’s footsteps and launching a bus tour that will include the state of Ohio. It’s a defensive move by the President, and one that highlights his campaign’s growing concerns about the effect of the worsening economic slowdown on his re-election chances.
That downtown is particularly worrisome here in Ohio. Our manufacturing sector has been one of the few economic bright spots over the last three and a half years. But now it seems that even manufacturing is starting to stall. The Associated Press reported earlier this week:
U.S. manufacturing shrank in June for the first time in nearly three years, a troubling sign as evidence builds that economic growth is slowing. . . . Production fell to a three-year low and a measure of new orders plummeted by the most in more than a decade, suggesting the weakness will likely persist in the coming months.
This news came on the heels of a Reuters report noting the recent downturn in manufacturing. According to the piece:
U.S manufacturing grew in June at its slowest pace in 11 months and hiring in the sector slowed as overseas demand for U.S. products waned, an industry survey showed on Thursday.
Given the President’s tendency to point to manufacturing as one of the few tangible successes of his economic efforts, it’s no wonder that the President has chosen now to visit Ohio in an effort to shore up his sagging campaign.

We Still Have A Choice
The Supreme Court has finally spoken. In what will be remembered as one of the most anticipated rulings of this generation, the constitutionality of the Obama administration’s healthcare law has been upheld by a vote of 5-4. This decision reaffirms how necessary it is that we elect Governor Romney as the next President of the United States.
Today’s ruling will usher in a future of higher costs, fewer choices, and less control over our health care decisions. The federal individual mandate violates the principles of federalism and limited government. It places the future of healthcare in America in the hands of unelected bureaucrats. It robs states of the freedom to develop solutions that fit the needs of their citizens. There is no denying that these are serious problems.
Indeed, Justices Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas stressed the precedent that Obamacare will set when they dissented: "The act before us here exceeds federal power both in mandating the purchase of health insurance and in denying non-consenting states all Medicaid funding."
By upholding the President’s healthcare law, the Supreme Court has redefined the role of the federal government as we know it. The decision expands the reach of the federal government in an extraordinary way.
Quite simply, President Obama’s healthcare law is not good for our country. The Supreme Court’s decision does not change the fact that it’s a job-killer. Nor does it alter the fact that it’s unpopular with the American people.
Fortunately, we still have a choice. With Governor Romney’s leadership, we can replace Obamacare with free market healthcare solutions which empower patients and doctors, not bureaucrats. Only then will we be able to restore the liberties compromised by President Obama’s policies.

Democrat/Liberal Jobs Plans: Pay People to Protest Romney
From Buzzfeed:
We won't find you jobs in the private sector, but you can work as official government protestors....give me a flippin' break....
THAT IS WHAT 'ASTROTURF' LOOKS LIKE!!!
The protesters popping up at Mitt Romney's rallies throughout Michigan Tuesday look like run-of-the-mill grassroots liberals — they wave signs about "the 99 percent," they chant about the Republican's greed, and they describe themselves as a loosely organized coalition of "concerned citizens."
They're also getting paid, two of the protesters and an Obama campaign official told BuzzFeed.
At the candidate's afternoon stop outside a bakery in DeWitt, a group of about 15 protesters stood behind a police barricade, a few of them chanting in support of Obama. Asked why he was protesting, a man dressed in a grim reaper costume pointed a reporter to a pair of "designated representatives" standing in the shade.
"I can't talk, you gotta get one of those people over there to talk to y'all," he said. "They're the ones who can talk to reporters."
Neither of the representatives agreed to give their names, but two protesters said they were getting paid to stand outside of the rally, though their wage is unclear: one said she was getting $7.25 per hour, while another man said they were being paid $17 per hour.

Even Mayor Bloomberg Thinks Romney Would be Better than Obama...
...but wont endorse him because Romney and he disagree on "social issues." So, let me get this straight Pop Policeman..you are more than willing to send the country headlong into economic and security hell because you and the Mittster disagree on social issues? We are talking about the present and future of the free world, you stupid self righteous jackass! From the New York Times:
Yes, because Mitt Romney may not like babies being killed on demand, that is good enough reason to sit on the sidelines and let the country slip into the dustbin of history....great call, Mayor Menstrual Cycle!
But during casual conversations at charity event a few days ago, Mr. Bloomberg was far chattier — and candid — about the subject, according to three people who overheard him.
Mr. Bloomberg said that he believed Mr. Romney would probably be better at running the country than Mr. Obama, according to two guests.
But Mr. Bloomberg said he could not support Mr. Romney because he disagreed with him on so many social issues, these two people said. The mayor mentioned two such issues: abortion rights and gun control.
As a result, Mr. Bloomberg said, he intended to remain neutral, said one guest.
Yes, because Mitt Romney may not like babies being killed on demand, that is good enough reason to sit on the sidelines and let the country slip into the dustbin of history....great call, Mayor Menstrual Cycle!

REP. JIM RENACCI: PRESIDENT OBAMA’S SAME FAILED POLICIES WON’T HELP THE ECONOMY
Statement:
Boston, MA – Congressman Jim Renacci made the following statement on President Obama’s visit to Cleveland:
“I am amazed by the skill with which President Obama takes the same failed, liberal ideas and tries to convince Americans that the results will be different this time. Today, he predictably offered more of the same. President Obama recently said that the private sector in America is ‘doing fine.’ Before he leaves Ohio, I invite him to visit some of the businesses that have shuttered their doors in our state and talk with the middle-class families who are struggling to make ends meet. Mitt Romney understands the economy and knows what it takes to bring it back. He will lead Ohio – and all of America – to a brighter future.”
BRECKSVILLE MAYOR JERRY HRUBY: OHIO IS TIRED OF PRESIDENT OBAMA’S BROKEN PROMISES
Statement:
Boston, MA – Jerry Hruby, the Mayor of Brecksville, Ohio, made the following statement on President Obama’s visit to Cleveland:
“President Obama never fails to disappoint. He’s come to Ohio many times and, each time he visits, he promises that things will get better. Unfortunately, all we can count on is that he will soon return, making the same promises and delivering the same lack of results. President Obama’s policies have not worked. Four more years of the same would be bad for Ohio and devastating for America. In November, Ohioans will have the chance to get our country back on track by supporting Mitt Romney, who has the plans and experience to get the job done.”

Wisconsin Exit Polls Wrong on Walker But Right on Obama? Another Media Hyped Lie
Michael Barone has looked at the flawed exit polling from Wisconsin last night that had the governor's race a dead heat and Barack Obama with wide support, something the leftards jumped all over as their attempt to stave off Conservative Scott Walker in Wisconsin was an EPIC FAIL! Rachel Maddow and others, who said, wow, the exit polls are off when compared to the actual election, relied on those exit polls to make themselves sleep better by saying that the same exit polls were proof Obama still owns Wisconsin. Michael Barone would beg to differ:
The Wisconsin exit poll evidently reported the race for governor in the recall ballot as 50%-50%. With 92% of the vote in, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s excellent website reports the score as 54%-46% Walker. Let’s say that’s the final results: only 13% of precincts from Milwaukee County and 3% of precincts from Madison’s Dane County — the Democrats’ two reservoirs of big majorities — remain uncounted. It has been emblazoned on mainstream media that the exit poll also showed Barack Obama leading Mitt Romney in the state 51%-45%. But if you think the exit poll was 4% too Democratic — and that’s in line with exit poll discrepancies with actual vote results over the last decade, as documented by the exit poll pioneer, the late Warren Mitofsky* — that result looks more like 49%-47% Romney. Or assume the remaining Milwaukee County precincts whittle Republican Governor Scott Walker’s margin over Democratic Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to 53%-47%, which looks likely, the Obama-Romney numbers would look like 48%-48%.
This is in a state that Obama carried 56%-42% in 2008. But those putative numbers also look very much like the numbers in 2000, when Al Gore carried Wisconsin 47.8%-47.6% over George W. Bush, or the numbers in 2004, when John Kerry carried Wisconsin 49.7%-49.3% over Bush.

Rep. Latta Endorses Mitt Romney
Email:
The last time President Obama came to Ohio as a candidate, he spoke of hope and change. More than any specific policy proposal, it was the promise of hope and change that won over the American people. Hope that the economic downturn would be short-lived and that under his leadership we would see the creation of millions of new, good jobs. Change was what he promised to bring to Washington, where he assured us he would discard the partisan politics that have bedeviled the capital for too long and reform a government that many Americans no longer feel works for them. President Obama made these promises to a nation that was hungry to hear them. They responded, and he won the election in overwhelming fashion. Today he returns to Ohio, once again seeking our votes. But now President Obama has something he lacked before—a record, and it is one of broken promises and failed policies. President Obama promised Americans that his stimulus plan would revitalize the economy and that unemployment would never go above 8 percent. He even said it would be 6 percent by now. However, that isn’t the case; we've had 39 consecutive months of 8 percent-plus unemployment, the worst record since the Great Depression. Adding insult to injury, President Obama’s reckless spending continues to add to the national debt, further placing America on an even greater path of financial instability. Worst of all, if President Obama is reelected and his out of control spending continues, the national debt will hit $20 trillion in the final year of his second term. Yet somehow despite all these failures, President Obama believes he has succeeded. Based on his words, one might expect that President Obama would want to run on his record. Clearly, however, not even he believes his own proclamations. That is why his campaign is one of distraction and distortion. But we in Ohio aren’t looking for a politician, we are looking for a leader. We want someone with a plan to succeed where Barack Obama has failed. In Mitt Romney, we have that candidate. Mitt Romney’s successes are as well-known as Barack Obama’s failures. Whether working to save businesses, to salvage the Olympic Games, or to put Massachusetts’s fiscal house in order, Mitt Romney has proven he is a master at turning things around. But Romney brings something even more important than his record to the table. Unlike President Obama, Mitt Romney knows that the foundation of our nation’s prosperity is the American people, not the federal government. President Obama wants more government in your lives. Mitt Romney will get government out of your way. President Obama wants higher taxes. Mitt Romney will cut tax rates across the board and reform our byzantine tax code. President Obama wants to continue spending more money than we can take in, borrowing from China to do so. Mitt Romney will finally balance our budget. President Obama wants to tell you how to live your lives, down to whether your children can help out on a family farm. Mitt Romney knows that free people, not government bureaucrats, built our nation’s prosperity. The choice in this election could not be clearer. The case for America’s greatness begins today, here in Ohio and that’s why I fully support and endorse Mitt Romney for President of the United States.
