This is good news! Let's hope we continue to see more positive effect of the "failed" UN speech.
Mark's Remarks
I agree, this is a good sign. However, I still read in places this is called a failed speech, and such. Well, by showing honor, integrity, and the fortitude to stand strong, Bush is getting us help on the terms of the United States. Yeah, real failure, unlike the Hillary Medical Plan, the Clinton mideast plan....Yeah, colossal failure there. This President is restoring us as the world leader and people are sniping. When the UN grows a set to actually back up what it says, then I am all for supporting it more. Instead, it plays both ends to curry favor, and it looks more like a confused dodderer than a world body. One thing that distresses me, is SOME people talking about the UN leading us and taking bigger role in shaping our policies. I disagree with that. Individual nations must retain sovereignty, to prevent the raping of the few by the hatred of the many. Some would call such a thing redistribution of wealth and privileges, I call it taking away individual freedom and prosperity.
