President Bush is asking the United Nations to support an American plan for transfer of power in Iraq, while asking allies to contribute to keeping peace in the Middle Eastern nation.

I tuned in to the speech on WLW and felt that the speech went rather well. The message that Iraq needs the assistance of the UN was well crafted and well received. All around the right message...

Mark's Remarks

Got a preview of the speech last night via the President's Conversation. To me, it is sad that football and some nbc or cbs sitcom got more share than the President. Says a lot about the values of the country, eh? We need to wake up! Especially you liberals out there!!! :) As far as the speech goes, I think it gets the message across that we will agree to disagree about unilateral preemptive attacks, but now we need to work together to foster democracy in a land which needs a lot of help. If the petty French and Germans cannot get past their own little crying after this speech, then they are not hurting us but the Iraqis. Of course, maybe what they fear is that in a free market, the Iraqis wont choose french or german industrial wares to build pipelines and their goes their monopolies provided by Saddam Hussein. Damn, I guess commies and leftists are more concerned about the profit motive than helping foster freedom and democracy.

Presidential Punditry from the Washington Post

Some very interesting points in this one.

I think the article is pretty fair and balanced...

I agree....for such a liberal newspaper....

Let's get it on!

Mark's Remarks

Now, instead of dividing the Republican vote, Arnold and McLintock need to converse and figure out who is going to go after the job, and that way unite the voters and keep the evil "grayout davis" and cruz "arriba la racists" bustamante from taking over California and sending it deeper into economic hell. Gray Davis took a state that had prospered under previous governors and has turned it into an economic wasteland. Bustamante was/is a member of a racist Latin group whose motto is "for those with the race, everything, for those not in the race, nothing." That is racism, yet the bleeding heart liberals are not calling it that. I guess you are only racist if you disagree with liberals. Why else would one of their elder statesmen, Robert Byrd, be so respected in spite of the fact he belonged to the KKK and voted against almost each and every Civil Rights reform of the 1960s? Could it be selective memory......you decide.....
