Chirac Inspects Troops that HE Put in Danger

JACQUES Chirac yesterday came face to face with the British troops whose lives he put at risk in Iraq.

A squad of Grenadiers with fixed bayonets formed a guard of honour for the French president during his official visit to London.

The band blasted out the French national anthem, La Marseillaise, as Mr Chirac — dubbed The Worm for wriggling over UN action — carried out the review with Tony Blair at his side.

The men, from the 1st Battalion of the Grenadier Guards, have seen service as reinforcements in Iraq.

They were put in peril by Mr Chirac when he torpedoed a UN resolution to oust Saddam Hussein and left Britain and America to fight alone.

Matt's Chat

This man has some nerve. I realize he didn't pick which troops he'd inspect, but the man has got to realize his role as Chamberlain in this situation...

Mark's Remarks

No, Matt, unlike even Chamberlain himself, the lib appeasers of today refuse to blame themselves...They take no responsibility, they only lash out...They are the petulant children who think they know how to run the show....Of course, they also cancelled Christmas, remember?
