Guess Which Dem Candidate Responded to the Question...
Q: And what is Clark's reaction to former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean's pandering comment that that he, Dean, wants the votes of Southerners, i.e. "guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks"?
A: "Well, he shouldn't have said those things. I think all Americans - and this is a joke! - all Americans, even if they're from the South and 'stupid,' should be represented."
WESLEY CLARK. Get the rest of this question and answer session from the New York Daily.

If that was supposed to be some sort of joke, Wes, it ain't funny! Were you playing to the crowd on the F Train in New York? For a man who came from Arkansas, you sure seem to not be in touch with that constituency. Is there any candidate that wants the southern vote?Mark's Remarks
Well, Matt, they are the elitists, and we all know that Southerners are stupid, at least according to the Democrat establishment, even though much of our tech companies are based or have significant presences in the South, such as IBM, such as TI, and other companies....They are the biggest growing area of the country, yet it seems the liberal elite still thinks of them as the land of the barefoot and pregnant inbreds....even though it shows some of the fastest growing incomes and so on....But that audience is mostly in the liberal strongholds of Detroit and New York City, and also Gary, Indiana....But, of course, the liberals want to minimize the south, because it has grown precisely because of conservatist policies in economic development; and a growing base of conservative leaders, both black and white....More blacks live in the South, do Democrats not want their vote either? What party is really the close-minded and demeaning one? If they believe as Clark and Dean, obviously not the Democrats.
Look around at some of the Liberal sites, blogs, etc.; and all you see is hatred...all you see is the maniacal focused hatred of people against one man, simply because he continues to follow his conscience and program.....if he were expanding the welfare state, and encouraging unwed pregnancies, he would be hailed as a hero by liberals, but because he is going after terrorists, sticking to his guns, he is considered something else. They come up with polls from patently liberal institutions, claiming they represent a "true cross section" even when the samples are questionable, and they present us with candidates who have no clear vision, and who will say anything to get elected...Look at Kerry, who voted for the resolution authorizing force....Now he waffles, even though he knew what the resolution said and what his vote meant...Look at Wes Clark- I could have supported it, I did support it, I wont support it, I should have, Mary, help me figure this out! They sell their principles...They hate people who don't sell their principles to the highest demographic count....They have no firm base of conviction- they are merely pandering....At least Bush is clear, both in his goals and will....who knows what the liberals will do, wait for the latest polling numbers, and see what happens to their views.....It is amazing how fast Kerry and Lieberman changed their tune when Dean started gaining more because of his ultra liberal slant....However, what will happen in the general election? What will happen when these panderers to the far left have to appeal to the broad base of Americans? What will happen then?
One other thing about Wes Clark....his own brothers in arms will not support him...Hap Shelton, former chair of the joint chiefs, and Tommy Franks, retired head of Central Command, both cite integrity issues in the past with Mr. Clark....makes you wonder, because usually the military sticks together, across party lines, eh?
