Matt's Chat
Now let me see if I can put the facts together from these reports. A guy (is race a factor? - I don't know, it isn't addressed in any of these articles) is acting crazy and is trespassing and vandalizing property. Cops get called, at least four are dispatched (although the sister says there 10 or 12). The guy does not comply with police orders. The police have to restrain him. One of the cops is injured in the scuffle, but they do manage to get the man under control. When they turn him over, the police realize that the man is not breathing and start CPR while calling for paramedics. The man later dies.Witnesses indicate that the police did not use violent tactics. The sister says otherwise (she did arrive on the scene apparently to witness the arrest as well). The excuse being put forth is that the man suffers from diabetes and he was looking for his friend's house where his medicene was apparently kept (wouldn't this guy keep his medicene at HIS house?).
My question: why isn't there a similar media frenzy as in the Nathaniel Jones situation in Cincinnati? Is it that this guy is white? (I don't even know if he is white) Is it that there is no video?
Mark's Remarks
No, it is that in Dayton, they do not have race baiters like Damon Lynch III or Nate Livingston, or any of the other people who use tragic (but preventable, especially if you follow directions when the cops tell you to stop and cooperate)deaths for political and ego gain. That is what it is about. Of course, give the crazies time, they will find their ways to Dayton.
Folks, if you want to live through any encounter with the police, here are some simple instructions:
1. Put anything in your hands on the ground, and assume a submissive position.
2. Follow all instructions they give you quickly and without comment.
3. Do not do drugs.
4. Do not swing at the police or try to fight them.
It really is that simple, whether you are white or black or green or even multicolored. I guess they do not teach this in schools anymore. I still do.
