Kerry "Elevating" the Level of Discourse

Struggling 2004 Democratic wannabe John Kerry fires an X-rated attack at President Bush over Iraq and uses the f-word - highly unusual language for a presidential contender - in a stunning new interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

Sen. Kerry (Mass.) used the undeleted expletive to express his frustration and anger over how the Iraq issue has hurt him because he voted for the war resolution while Democratic front-runner Howard Dean has soared by opposing it.

"I voted for what I thought was best for the country. Did I expect Howard Dean to go off to the left and say, 'I'm against everything'? Sure. Did I expect George Bush to f - - - it up as badly as he did? I don't think anybody did," Kerry told the youth-oriented magazine.

Brookings Institution presidential scholar Stephen Hess said he can't recall another candidate attacking a president with X-rated language in a public interview.

"It's so unnecessary," Hess said. "In a way it's a kind of pandering [by Kerry] to a group he sees as hip . . . I think John Kerry is going to regret saying this."

Matt's Chat

Looks like the national trend in liberal politics is following the local trend. Or is it vice versa. I can't tell anymore.

This is a disgrace. Jean Kerrrrrry actually thinks that this is what Americans want in the White House.

Jean, the White House isn't our enemy. President Bush is not our enemy. Terrorists ARE the enemy. If liberals like you expressed half the hatred and frustration at terrorists that you spew towards the president, I think things would be MUCH different.

Mark's Remarks

This man wants to lead the free world? This man wants to be an example to all citizens, to hold the highest honor in the land? I think not. This is an outrage and a disgrace.

Mr. Kerry is frustrated. He overestimated his own electability, and his arrogance has cost him, for all intents and purposes, the nomination. Along with his arrogance was his pandering. He, as most libs, had no clear vision, just spewing what was politically expedient. He thought with his military record, he could cover the middle, and that with his social leanings he would dominate the left in the primary. However, he underestimated the shrill harnessing of hatred by Howeird "nikita" Dean Mcgovern. So, he further screwed up by simply playing follow the Dean by copying everything Dean did. It made him look like a mirror, not a man of vision. This man is a disgrace to his office and state. With his attitudes and the behavior he has shown, it makes me wonder: did he really win his office or did his wife of the Heinz fortune buy it for him?

This man represents everything wrong with the left today, that they have no vision, other than redeyed vengeful hatred of anyone who stands in their way to power, namely, George W. Bush. The Senate needs to censure him for his comments, and maybe some ethics charges need to be looked into. Mr. Kerry, you are a disgrace. I honor your serivce to your country, but you are not doing any honor to the office you now hold, or the one you seek. Quite simply, sir, quit your whiny cursing sour grapes and grow up. You didn't run a good primary campaign and you are going to lose. Quit trying to blame your failures as a candidate on anyone other than yourself and lack of a moral compass.
