Matt's Chat
This is fantastic news for the people of Iraq! Finally they can rest easy that this dictator will not be coming back to power ever again. What an amazing victory for the troops and the Bush administration. I really can't see what the insurgents would have left to fight for, so I would expect that the task of nation-building can go forward with significantly less trouble.
Now is the time that this brutal "man" will pay for his crimes. I couldn't be happier for Iraq, America, our troops, or our President. God Bless Us All!
Mark's Remarks
Amen, Matt. However, the war IS NOT over. There are still jihadists out there on their own who want to take us back to the 10th century. Though this a wonderful victory over which I am very joyful, we cannot lose track. We must expect the violence to intensify in the short term, as the loyalists and jihadists try to show they are more dangerous than ever, though in the long term this is a serious blow. If it is all about killing oneself in struggle, why didn't Saddam pull the trigger on his pistol? Answer: COWARD. He is not worth dying for, people of the Arab world. He is a rat caught in a hole. Leave his cause and embrace the peace, or reap the whirlwind.
We in America and the coalition must not get too happy, because we still have a job to do in Iraq, but this victory is wonderful, and it justifies the patience and dedication of our men and women, and their Commander in Chief...God bless us, every one!
