From Yahoo News:Ending months of speculation, Tom Brokaw has finally selected his own personal D-Day, informing NBC News that he will step down as anchor of "Nightly News" on Dec. 1.

The saddest thing is, out of all the liberal whackjobs on network air, Tom was the most moderate. Now, NBS will probably replace him WITH an Al Franken, or even worse, with the moronic woman who has made Weekend Update on SNL a snorefest, Tina Fey. Either way, they will just pick out another liberal to perpetuate the information crisis on Americans.
