Ohio's "Democrat of the Year" to be Delegate

From FOX News:
Ohio Democrats have chosen talk-show host Jerry Springer to be an at-large delegate for the Democratic National Convention in Boston.

"He's made 50 appearances at Democratic events this year. He's been an outspoken advocate for the party," said Dan Trevas, spokesman for the Ohio Democratic Party.

Springer, who was the mayor of Cincinnati before hosting the raunchy "The Jerry Springer Show," was named Democrat of the Year by the state party last weekend.

Matt's Chat

Lots of news in this one... Springer...Democrat of the Year... They are really starting to make this too easy to write the opening monologue for the show. Here's hoping he remembers to leave his checkbook at HOME...

Mark's Remarks

My county was one of the counties "Jerry the John" visited. Of course, the Dim event sold out. What was funny, however, was that the vast majority of people who came to the rally, were people from outside the county. There has already been an anti-Springer backlash, and I believe it will come back to haunt the Ohio Dim party, except of course in that bastion of liberal idiocy, the Cuyahoga area of Ohio, where they just love flip flops and hamsters.

Jerry Springer is a sad and pathetic person. He makes his living off of exploiting the ignorant and the morally and monetarily destitute, as well as deceiving the true nature of the participants in his charade of a show. WAIT! This is good! Of course he deserves to be D of the year, because that is what the Dimcrapic party has been doing for the last 30 years!
