Outrage

From NewsMax:
One of the leading hosts on the unofficial radio network of the Democratic Party recommended in an apparent "joke" earlier this week that President Bush should be assassinated, reports the New York Daily News.

Comparing Bush and his family to the Corleones of "Godfather" fame, Air America host Randi Rhodes reportedly unleashed this zinger during her Monday night broadcast: "Like Fredo, somebody ought to take him out fishing and phuw. "

Rhodes then imitated the sound of a gunshot.

Matt's Chat

They didn't learn from the "Snipers Wanted" fiasco.

More proof that the Democratic Party is coming unhinged, folks. These are the mainstream liberals, they aren't the fringe anymore.

And don't give me the free speech argument, liberals. This is unacceptable and you all should denounce it.

Mark's Remarks

Maybe, like the reporters in Mars Attacks, this idiot should be vaporized. Now, if I really said that out loud, even in jest, I would be mauled. This woman (I could use worse terms, given her track record) is a disgrace to radio. Such comments should not be given air, much less supported by the Democrapic party. Her network should fire her for such comments, as any network would do if a right wing host said something about Kerry being killed or something. It is disgraceful, and it is sad.

UPDATE: Air America Shutting Down Offices

Here is the story.

Seems to me that if you continue to do tasteless radio, as highlighted here at WMD over the last few days, you continue to not pay the bills, and trouble will follow you. Where is John Kerry's condemnation for laying off these people? Where is the condemnation for not keeping them on the payroll simply to help them out? Aren't free rides what liberalism is all about?
