Flag Day

I pledge
(you are making a promise)
allegiance
(loyalty, commitment, faithfulness, duty)
to the flag
(the symbol that represents the ideals, truths, and promises of what that flag represents)
of the United States of America
(this great country where freedoms and opportunities abound)
and to the Republic
(representative form of government which we employ)
for which it stands
(showing what the flag is symbolizing)
one nation
(we have many different states, peoples, thoughts and ideas, but we are still one nation)
under God
(this nation was founded by Christian men and principles)
indivisible
(we cannot be divided when we stand together)
with liberty
(freedom, independence)
and justice
(fairness, righteousness)
for all
(everyone is entitled to have these ideals)
