Dissent is American Update

From FOX News:
Radical protesters are reportedly trying to cause chaos at the Republican National Convention in New York City at the end of August.

Reports show that fringe groups are hatching a plot on the Internet, telling people how to attack and trick police with the ultimate goal of evacuating Madison Square Garden. The suggestions include everything from throwing marbles in the path of police-mounted horses to going to shooting ranges before heading to the convention so that their clothes will reek of gunpowder and trick bomb-sniffing dogs on the subways and commuter trains.

New York City police say they are worried about the tactics diverting their time and resources from preventing authentic attacks, and add that they are preparing for "black blocs" of anarchists who cover their face with bandanas and vandalize corporate targets.

Matt's Chat

This needs to be denounced by Kerry/Edwards and the DNC. Now.

And should this crap go on, I don't want to hear any Bu$Hitler crap. There is a HUGE difference between dissent and an act of aggression. This would pull first responders away from real potential attacks...unless, of course, that's what these fools want. In which case, they are indeed unAmerican and should be considered the enemy.

1:30PM Update

The New York Daily News is also covering this story and there is also some Blogs for Bush coverage as well.

Mark's Remarks

These are the same people who say that Republicans and conservatives are censors who don't want people to exercise their civil rights, yet these radical whackos are planning to undermine the rights of others to peaceably assemble, to have free speech, and in some cases to protest; simply because they don't like the message or don't want it to be spread. Yet, they claim that is what we do, but I don't see Conservative plots out there to evacuate the Dim convention. More shameless, self-indulgent, elitist hypocrisy from the Left. They have the right to freedom, just no one else does. Shameful. I hope the ringleaders are uncovered and have the book thrown at them, along with their storm troopers. Man, the libs keep calling US nazis but you look at the tactics they are employing: politicizing policy, propaganda as film, threatening people who disagree (Movie incident, Karl Rove's house), and now trying to harass and potentially injure people who don't agree with them by inciting panic--I think the libs are the one looking at Adolf's playbook, if you look at these tactics.

John Kerry Delenda Est!
