From Yahoo News:Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, citing the war in Iraq and other trouble spots in the world, raised the possibility Wednesday that a military draft could be reinstated if voters re-elect President Bush.
Kerry said he would not bring back the draft and questioned how fairly it was administered in the past.
Answering a question about the draft that had been posed at a forum with voters, Kerry said: "If George Bush were to be re-elected, given the way he has gone about this war and given his avoidance of responsibility in North Korea and Iran and other places, is it possible? I can't tell you."

Ladies and Gentlemen, I did not mislead you with the headline.What the Democrats are talking about are two bills, one in the House (HR 163) and one in the Senate (Senate Bill 89), both put forth by Bush-hating Democrats.
The House bill was sponsored by Charlie Rangel (D-New York), Jim McDermott (D-Washington), John Conyers (D-Michigan), John Lewis (D-Georgia), Pete Stark (D-California) and Neil Abercrombie (D-Hawaii).
The Senate bill was sponsored by Fritz Hollings (D-South Carolina).
Neither have a prayer of getting through. John Kerry and John Edwards want you to think that this is some Karl Rove/Don Rumsfeld/HALLIBURTON! scheme, but if that were the case, wouldn't these Bush-hating Democrats want nothing to do with it?

This must be part of that super secret dark plan of Bush's to call up more troops after the election....GIVE ME A FLIPPIN BREAK!!!!!! If it is so secret and so sinister, how can schmucks like Kerry find out about it?
The truth is that it is Democrats, not Republicans, who want the draft. You see, the liberals want to Vietnamize this war...They have aided the enemy by propaganda, like in Vietnam...They have encouraged the resentment of soldiers by people, like in Vietnam...They have even romanticized that Iraq was better under Saddam (Mikey Moore and Sean Penn), just like in Vietnam...They want to Vietnamize this war because Americans deserve to lose, in their minds...We are imperialists, we are racists, we are haters....It doesn't matter that the rape rooms are closed, that women are embracing the struggle for freedom on two different countries, or that people in those countries are now hopeful about their future...Nope, that don't matter a bit, because in the minds of the Left we are evil. We are the enemy. We deserved to be attacked on 9/11 and deserve other attacks. That is what the Left thinks, that is what they believe, even as they try to sound hawkish despite proof to the otherwise. Don't be fooled. The Left wants the draft because they want to send others to war. They don't want people to choose to fight for their country. Nope, they want to force people so as to build a cauldron of hatred. It is sad, how these people who claim to love freedom and individuality work so hard to hinder the progress of democracy and the spreading of true human rights. Sad, but true.
