I demand an investigation! Lie after lie after lie after lie...the whole thing was cooked up in Texas...and I question the timing.
Allow me to apply a ClueBat: In his first three years, the President increased funding for veterans benefits 27%. In all eight years of President Clinton's watch, veteran's benefits received a 31.7% increase. Discretionary funding for veterans programs has been increased by 30% under President Bush.
But don't take my word for it, listen to the folks at FactCheck.org:
funding for veterans is going up twice as fast under Bush as it did under Clinton. And the number of veterans getting health benefits is going up 25% under Bush's budgets. That's hardly a cut.Am I missing something?
