It is the Democrats, NOT the Republicans, who introduced, advocated, and pushed for a renewal of the Military Draft. DO NOT believe MTV, do not believe the garbage being put forth by John Kerry's campaign. It is worse than lying. It is out and out delusional.

It's quite true that the two bills mentioned would require both men and women aged 18 through 25 to perform a two-year period of "national service," which incidentally could be either military or non-military service. But the bills are sponsored only by Democrats, and there's not the slightest evidence that the Bush administration is pushing for them, quietly or otherwise.
One bill is HR 163 , whose principal sponsor is Democratic Rep. Charles Rangel of New York. It has 14 co-sponsors, all of them Democrats
And look at what Rangel does, basically admitting that this draft proposal was merely a way to infuse fear of the Administration into the race:
In fact, Rangel told FactCheck.org through his spokesman Emile Milne that even he isn't pushing for passage, let alone Bush (emphasis added):
Rep. Rangel: I'm not pushing this bill .
I encourage those of you out there who know MTVers who simply believe everything that Carson and the gang tells them to print off copies of these articles, distribute them, draw a few diagrams, maybe write a song verse or two...anything to get them to see they are being played by a lying email, by a lying party, by a lying candidate who has no evidence for his outlandish charges, and being played by a media that would rather lie to get a friend elected than simply report his lies and misdeeds. As someone might say: WAKE UP AMERICA!
