Sam Donaldson is a Close Minded Bigot!

By Mark for the TIB Network:

big·ot ( P ) Pronunciation Key (bgt)
n.
One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.

Today, I listened to two interviews with Sam Donaldson who basically could not believe that the Republicans could have amicable disagreements and could actually disagree with one another and remain friendly. He cited Rudy Guliani and Arnold as people who disagree with ideas of the R platform who were "being used to misconstrue an attitude of tolerance for moderate positions." Wow, Sam, so you are saying all Republicans are Jerry Falwell Republicans. Geez, I wish you liberals would stay on a message. It was reported here that Mikey Moore himself found lots of moderates within the convention.

Of course, folks, this is an attempt to fracture the party as it is showing unity that the media was hoping would not be there. You see, unlike the Democrats, who try to coerce, threaten and sue dissent into silence; the Republicans allow divergence of opinion. You know, kind of like the typical family. There are divergences of opinion in families but they still get along. The Republicans have lots of different views, from far right folks like Pat Buchanan to liberals like Arlen Spector. However, they are all able to work together, because they share core principles--namely based on individual liberties and limited government. They all believe in these principles, but differ on other issues. You see, they have unifying themes, as opposed to what we see on the other side.

Back to Donaldson. In one interview he said that the Republicans were "misconstruing" a moderate tone, and in the next he said he was shocked to hear someone who is conservative claim to respect Rudy Guliani. He then said that the Republican platform is far right and that we should have Jerry Falwell speak instead of Zell Miller.

To that I say, nice try Sam. We know what you would say if Republicans had Falwell--Republicans hate Jews, are intolerant, blah blah blah. But since they actually allow DIVERSITY OF OPINION, you claim it is a marketing ploy rather than simply saying we share more than divide us. More liberal projection and attempts at fracturing....

Sad and pathetic....and blatantly closeminded, something supposed "objective" journalists are not supposed to advocate....

You know Sam, if you actually opened your eyes and ears and looked at reality; you would actually notice blacks in positions of power, no lynchmobs, no zealotry, different religions, different genders, different cultures....but all are unified behind winning the war on Terror....
