Groningen Protocol Update

Via Radioblogger, we get this update from the CyberCast News Service:
In a statement issued Friday, Groningen pediatrics head Dr. A. Verhagen said that "worldwide, the U.S. included, many deaths among newborns are based on end-of-life decisions, after physicians reached the conclusion that there was no quality of life."
I agree with Duane, who said:
First, I don't believe U.S. doctors are killing babies that are alive and post partem, regardless of parental wishes. If they are, we need to find out who they are and prosecute them for murder.

Second, Scott Peterson can use this same logic and say that O.J. killed his wife and got away with it, so why can't I?
And that really is the danger of a slippery slope...particularly one that isn't getting much attention.
