Re: Napalm and Fallujah

By Matt for the TIB Network:

A couple of days ago, I selected a site to be the BlogExplosion of the day because I thought it interesting that the author believed an al-Jazeera report saying that US forces had used napalm in Fallujah.

Naturally, that got our good friend Peter van P. of the People's Republic of Belgium (just razzing you, man, it's what I do...) all in a tizzy (yeah, it's a technical term, I know...). He cites this piece from the Daily Mirror. My problem with the story is that Paul Gilfeather offers no proof of his claims. What are his sources? Who has he talked to? What has he seen?

Could it be, that like our Liberal of the Day, Paul believes al-Jihad?

St. Paul from Fraters Libertas discounts the whole story as anti-war propaganda. I see no flaws in the logic, barring evidence to the contrary...
The real source on those Napalm reports may be as reliable as whoever started the lie about destroying villages to save them. Though that does create a nice symmetry to their credibility.
If you read both the al-Jihad story and the Daily Mirror story, you'll see one used the other as a source...now that's fine for blogging, but whatever happened to journalistic standards, objectivity, and whatnot? Just asking...

I still have not seen an objective source, that has presented actual evidence, on this story. If you have, please leave a comment with the link in the Discussion section or drop me an email.
