Something about this story, about a Guardsman asking a rather pointed question of Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, just struck me as fishy. Not that the question was asked or how it was answered, neither of which was handled poorly; but rather how the "story" was reported.Turns out that the reporter planted the question, wrote the story without including his involvement in creating the story, and then wrote an email to his pals back home bragging about it.
Journalists are not embedded with our troops in order to create news. Perhaps SeeBS should consider calling for a few more federal regulations of the media before they go off half-cocked on the blogosphere. This is a blatant violation of journalistic ethics and it appears that nothing will happen to the reporter, either by the government or the paper...so who is going to enforce the standards of ethics we already are supposed to have on Old Media?
