Tragedy and America's Responsibility?

By Matt for the TIB Network:

Ladies and Gentlemen of the blogosphere, I give you Neal Boortz:
No question ... the tragedy that has occurred in Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Sumatra, India and other countries in the way of this past weekend's devastating Tsunamis is beyond imagination. The death toll is now 40,000 dead. There are thousands missing. The death toll could easily pass 50,000 ... and that's before disease epidemics sweep the affected regions.

I have an uneasy feeling that sooner rather than later the United States is going to become an object of derision and hatred in the wake of this disaster. We've already pledged millions ... and millions more will follow. As soon as the first $15 million was sent on its way the United Nations started chiming in. Now ... listen to this. The UN Undersecretary General for Humanitarian Affairs is charging the United States with being "stingy." That's right, we're "stingy" The United States leads the world when it comes to contributions for international relief, not only on a governmental level, but through private donations. Nobody .. no country .. gives more.
The best part is when Neal points out that this UN weenie says that there ought to be a tax levied against Americans for increased aid. The UN is an ungrateful, anti-American establishment...the next time some lefty starts spouting praises of this "organization" remind them how successful they have been in peacekeeping operations and then hit them with this...

Perhaps, rather than lining their own pockets (not to mention Saddam's), the UN should have used that Oil-for-Food money more constructively...I'm just saying...

Mr. Undersecretary, you can kindly piss off...

Islamofascism Delenda Est!
