The election provisions include requiring a person to produce a copy of a birth certificate or other proof of citizenship when registering to vote or when reregistering in another county. Also, a voter would have to show identification before voting at a polling place.
What's wrong with asking for proof of citizenship and residency in order to cast a vote? Near as I can tell, that would ensure a fair election, not prevent one. The real deal here is that Democrats think that if they fight for these votes, they will gain a constituency...and they deseperately need one because the one they have now is shrinking.....
