Thoughts on Iraqi Freedom

By Matt for the TIB Network:

Allow me to start with a quote from the last "real, and authentic" American Democrat to serve as President of the United States of America, John F. Kennedy:
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

This much we pledge--and more.
Noble words with significant meaning for today.

"Let every nation know." This is a rallying cry for freedom and a warning to those who oppose us.

"Whether it wishes us well or ill." The American Dream is a powerful force. We can let every nation know regardless of who's side they are on because of that power.

"That we shall pay any price." You can't put a cost analysis on freedom. Ours or the Iraqis. And if you are one of those who do, how do face yourself in the mirror knowing that your freedom cost someone else.

"Bear any burden." As with all important things, there will be sacrifice. We have lost too many of our beloved men and women in uniform, but it was for a great purpose and we must remember them for having achieved it.

"Meet any hardship." War is not an easy thing. Lord help us if it was... We must have the resolve to carry on despite setbacks.

"Support any friend." Our allies in the struggle for freedom must be protected.

"Oppose any foe." No stone shall be left unturned. The forces of tyranny should be confronted whenever it is encountered.

"In order to assure the survival and the success of liberty." That's the goal.

A free and democratic Iraq is a worthy and noble goal. It will be achieved tomorrow.

Predictions

I hope that this ends up being on the short side, but I think we'll see about a 65% turnout. Maybe 75% if things go really well.

I expect that the forces who oppose us will use their terrorist methods to try and effect the election. The mainstream media and the Left will give this more attention than it deserves.

Islamofascism Delenda Est!
