Friends-Anybody looking for a summer internship should apply right away...
Applications are now being taken for summer internships. Interested candidates need to complete the attached application and mail it by April 4th to the Governor's Office of Local Development, c/o Dan Waits, 1024 Capital Center Drive, Suite 340, Frankfort, KY 40601. The cover letter should specify that the application is for an internship in the Governor's Northern Kentucky office. I would also encourage you to mail a copy of the application to me at 300 Buttermilk Pike, Suite 324, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
The period of employment for summer interns is May 1st through August 31st. By law, all interns must be at least 16 years of age, and a current high school, college, or graduate student. As a practical matter, interns in this office over the past year have all been college and graduate students with excellent grades. The pay is $7.81 an hour, and may be full or part-time. The Northern Kentucky office will have at least one paid intern; additional paid or volunteer opportunities may develop.
Please e-mail me with any questions on the program. Thanks.
