Rock This Vote

Radio guy Neal Boortz has an interesting quote from the Rock the Vote folks, who have allied against Social Security reform with the AARP.
"To us, it's totally black and white. This is the first generation ever that would be asked to pay for their own retirement and Social Security at the same time. This is what private accounts do. They saddle young people with an unfair burden."
That's right...these liberals think that while you are sending money in to the general fund, you're not paying for your Social Security; but if you take a percentage of what you are sending to the general fund and set up private accounts, you're paying for your Social Security. How does that logic work for you?

Mark's Remarks

Typical liberalism....obfiscate the truth, don't just bend it, shatter the truth. The dolts at Rock the Vote wouldn't understand the program if you drew them a picture. The last two generations have been paying for OTHERS retirement while they will be left with nothing.

Again, the plan is this: instead of giving totally to the general fund, you will be allowed to take out a percentage of your contributions to be put into mutual funds. Geez, what the heck is so friggin hard to understand?!?!?!?!?

The answer: liberals know they are beaten on this one. Young people are not the typical sheep the liberals have tried to make them out to be. They do the math. They understand they are getting screwed. All the liberals can do is make up this lame lie and spread it through the likes of Moby or Bruce Springsteen or other has-beens or never-will-bes.
