The Iran Problem

By way of this Yahoo News Alert I ask a question...

WASHINGTON (AP) FBI says that Pentagon analyst Larry Franklin has been charged with passing classified defense information on Iran to employees of a pro-Israel group.

What this guy has done, allegedly, is treasonous; but shouldn't we be arming Israel with information on Iran anyway? This is a legitimate question, not a rhetorical one...
