Millennium Terrorist Gets 22 Years

From ONN:
A Seattle judge has sentenced a man who planned to attack the Los Angeles airport on the eve of the millennium to 22 years in prison.
Ahmed Ressam (AH'-med res-AHM') was convicted in 2001 on terrorist conspiracy and explosives charges. He planned to bomb the Los Angeles International Airport on the 2000 New Year.

Sentencing was delayed after the conviction because he provided information to investigators. But he's stopped cooperating with prosecutors who want him to testify against his two accused co-conspirators held in Canada and Britain.

Federal prosecutors asked for a 35-year sentence. Ressam's defense wanted a 12-year term.

Customs agents caught him in December 1999 with a trunkload of explosives.
This is yet another victory in the War on Islamofascism. I wonder why I didn't get a Yahoo News Alert on this? Anybody see this story on the news? I sure haven't seen it anywerhe else but ONN...

Mark's Remarks

The only way he will get play on the News is if his air conditioning is turned down in his cell, sparking debate of "torture."

This guy needed to be deported to Gitmo, but of course, maybe he did't have the qualifications for that exclusive club.
