Perhaps the only people more delusional than the Democrats (UPDATE: which WuzzaDem illustrates perfectly here) painting a four point loss as a victory is the idiots at COAST as our good friend Tom over at BizzyBlog illustrates in the second section of this post-game analysis.

This election is a preview of what might happen to the national GOP. Tom Brinkman and COAST plays the role of John McCain, a party moderate who is so self-delusional that they would rather drag down the party to a loss rather than see someone else from the party win. Brinkman is showing himself to be a McCain wannabe, and that is anathema to the GOP. We need more people uniting, rather than seeking to divide us amongst ourselves.
