For the good of the Republican Party, I think it’s time to ask someone in the Ohio Republican establishment to muster the courage to “clear the field” and give Blackwell a clean shot at the general election. The party has cleared the primary field before so why aren’t they doing it now?Human Events makes their case and I find it compelling, but then again, I'm biased in favor of Blackwell to begin with...read it and decide for yourself.
My biggest fear, and one of the biggest lessons from the OH-02 special election, is that we'll have a hotly contested primary battle that leaves the Republican party deeply divided. Ohio GOP Chariman Bob Bennett has a big job to do...and it is going to be difficult for him, Petro and Montgomery. But in the end, that is what is going to happen...
