Disaster Relief

You know, this is getting old.

In case the world missed it, the United States has recently had a disaster of its own in a place called Louisiana. You might have heard of it. We also contriubute billions every year in foreign aid to countries who hate us (and I'm not talking just about France). We are also fighting a global War on Terror. This stuff ain't cheap.

And I'm getting awful tired of the so-called world community dissing the American people's private contributions to the various relief efforts. We are in the process of trying to REDUCE government spending. Our politicians are having a hard time figuring that out as it is...

And let's not forget our military contribution in these situations. We send in our helicopters and people to help out in rescue and recovery efforts. Do we get any credit for that?

The world community can bite me and you can feel free to quote me on that.
