We have three candidates in this race: Jill Kinder, Howard Dirksen, and Ron D'Epifanio.
If Kinder is elected, she would be Fairfield's first woman mayor. She is 51 years old and has been elected to the city council in 2001. She is spending $4000 of her own money and isn't accepting money from other donors except the Hamilton-Oxford-Fairfield Board of Realtors (which will donate similar amounts to all candidates).
Also elected to city council in 2001 is Howard Dirksen. Howard is trailing in money raised, but appears to be a conservative on spending. Dirksen is 62 years old and has raised $3,739.
Ron D'Epifanio was term-limited out of city council in 2003. He has raised more money than the other two candidates combined: $16,810. He is 64 years old.
There has been very little information from which to base any kind of endorsement on, but I'll be pulling the lever for Dirksen unless something comes out between now and then that would make me change my mind.
