Jim Petro's big ad buy includes a shot at the guy leading the polls, Ken Blackwell. The ad accuses Blackwell of having a "risky" proposal to curb the growth of state government and contends that his own economic plan "permanently caps taxes."
In reality, Petro's campaign manager had to admit that tax increases could occur under Petro's plan during robust economic times.
Most candidates start off their ad buys with a positive biography spot. Not Petro.
Honestly, I'm beyond tired of this kind of campaigning. Let's drop the nonsense and get serious about debating what is best for Ohio. Leave the mudslinging for the Democrats.
