Which One of You Jokers...

...sent Sen. DeWine an email in my name?

I haven't sent anything to DeWine in months because he's never responded on other issues I've sent him.

This was in the WMD Mailbag this afternoon:
Dear Friend,

Thank you for visiting my website and sending me your message. It's great to hear from you! I will do my best to send a more detailed follow-up email soon with a more specific response to your inquiry.

Very respectfully yours,

Mike DeWine
United States Senator
That should be a pretty interesting follow-up email!

DISCLOSURE: I am the Blog Administrator for DeWine's challenger, Bill Pierce

Mark's Remarks

Wow, that reply sounded an awful lot like, "I'm Rob Portman, nice to see you again..." (inside joke)

DISCLOSURE: While I am not the blog administrator for Pierce for Senate, I have been known to play one on TV. I do lean in Mr. Pierce's direction, but with other potential challengers, I remain open. However, I was impressed with Mr. Pierce's willingness to take on the SOB alliance.

11/29 Update

Just received a follow-up email...I must have sent the senator a note about the Coburn amendment... Here is the email:
November 29, 2005

Dear Matthew:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your support for Senator Coburn's amendment to the fiscal year 2006 Transportation, Treasury, Housing and Urban Development appropriations legislation (H.R. 3058). As one of the 15 Senators who voted in favor of the amendment, I appreciate knowing your views on this important issue.

As you know, Senator Coburn's amendment would have directed money from two Alaska bridge projects to repair the Interstate 10 bridge in New Orleans damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The Senate rejected this amendment by a vote of 82 to 15. I voted in favor of this amendment because I felt that it was important to provide the necessary funding and relief to the Gulf Region in a fiscally responsible manner. The Senate approved H.R. 3058 on October 20, 2005. As debate on this legislation continues in Conference Committee, I certainly will keep your views in mind.

Again, thank you for contacting me. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me anytime.

Very respectfully yours,

MIKE DeWINE
United States Senator
