The President was fiesty for this press conference. He verbally smacked around a couple of reporters asking some stupid questions. It was almost like watching Ari Fleischer give a press briefing...I loved every minute of it.
He also had a message for the United States Senate: "It is inexcuseable for the United States Senate to let the Patriot Act expire." And it is. This piece of legislation has been a key in preventing this country from being attacked by the terrorists. Like the New York Times, the United States Senate seems to be more interested in getting good headlines and making anti-war liberals feel all warm and fuzzy than actually protecting their constituencies from attack. Oh yeah, I feel much safer knowing that one of the tools that the administration uses to "connect the dots" (remember when that was important?) is being thrown on the garbage heap while we are still at war with thugs who want to kill us.
