Dean: "We Can't Win"

From World Net Daily:
Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, never known to mince words, today told a San Antonio radio station the U.S. cannot win the war in Iraq.

The "idea that we're going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong," Dean predicted said on WOIA.

He predicted the Democratic Party would come together on a proposal to withdraw National Guard and reserve troops immediately, and all U.S. forces within two years.

"I've seen this before in my life. This is the same situation we had in Vietnam," said Dean. "Everybody then kept saying, 'just another year, just stay the course, we'll have a victory.' Well, we didn't have a victory, and this policy cost the lives of an additional 25,000 troops because we were too stubborn to recognize what was happening."
Iraq is NOT Vietnam. Although, we were winning there too until the leftards decided they wanted America to cut and run so we'd lose. So what is Dean proposing? The exact same situation...he wants to cut and run...just like Vietnam.

Our military is doing an excellent job over in Iraq. We are winning. Perhaps not as fast as some would like, but war ain't a video game. The brave men and women getting it done over there deserve the opportunity to finish their mission. Those who have died deserve to have their deaths have meaning... Howard Dean and the Democrats don't want that to happen. They'd prefer Iraq be Vietnam. And that is why they can't be trusted with national security and foreign policy.
